Hello Alburtis Families,
Wow—what an amazing first week we’ve had! There is simply no better way to start the day than being greeted by 385 smiling little faces. While Team Alburtis enjoyed the slower pace of summer, our hearts are happiest when we’re back in school doing what we love most—helping little people grow into the very best humans they can be.
A huge thank-you to all of you for your patience with dismissal this week. As you can imagine, there are always a few “first-week wiggles” while our bus drivers get to know their new routes. For those who prefer the car rider line—here’s a little tip: if sitting in that long line isn’t your favorite way to spend the afternoon, you’re welcome to park at the pool and walk to the Art Room/Walker Door to pick up your child. It’s a quicker, friendlier way to wrap up the day!
Just a quick reminder about dismissal changes:
👉 If your child’s mode of dismissal changes for any reason, please send a written note to the main office with your child in the morning.
👉 Please do not send last-minute Seesaw messages to teachers during the day. They’re busy teaching and may miss your message.
👉 We are unable to make dismissal changes after 2:45 PM, so please plan ahead.
We hope you enjoy every minute of the long Labor Day weekend. Rest up, have fun, and get ready—because we have so many adventures ahead with your amazing children this year!
With excitement,
Dr. Cheryl A. Scalzo
Principal, Alburtis Elementary

Hello, Alburtis Eagles!
Our school wide positive behavior system is in full swing! We learned our Cool Tools expectations for all the areas around the school this week and are earning tokens and pom poms galore!
School store will be opening soon for our Eagle shoppers! We are in need of some fantastic volunteers to help our students with their choices. The monetary pay may be low (or non-existent), but the payoff in smiles makes it worth it. If you have your clearances and would like to join the staff this year, please fill out the form at the link below to indicate your availability this school year. Contact Mrs. Confer if you have any questions. Thank you for making our school store a reality!!

💙 Alburtis Family in Need of Immediate Support 💙
We have an Alburtis family who is in crisis. Due to a sudden outbreak of black mold in their home, they were immediately displaced and unfortunately have no local family support or a safe place to stay.
Our Alburtis Elementary School Angel Network was able to secure the family one night in a local hotel for their safety. However, at the beginning of the school year, our Angel Network funds are very limited as our annual fundraisers have not yet taken place.
The family is in urgent need of the following:
👧 Female (Alburtis student)
Clothing size: Children’s 10/12
Shoe size: 2
Soft cuddly stuffies
👦 Male (HS Senior)
Sweatpants: Large
Pants: 36–38
Shirts: Large
Shoe size: 13
🍽️ Because they are unable to cook, gift cards would be greatly appreciated. Suggested places: Wawa, McDonald’s, Weis, Giant, Kohl’s, Walmart, Visa/Mastercard, Applebee’s, DoorDash.
If you would also like to contribute to our Alburtis Elementary School Angel Network, we will be accepting monetary donations and/or gift cards. This will ensure that we have the funds to support families when urgent situations such as this arise.
👉 Donations can be dropped off at the Main Office of Alburtis Elementary School.
Our Alburtis community may be small, but we always come together to support one another in times of need. 💛 Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
