Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
When arriving, please follow the signs posted and any directions provided by staff members present. For the safety of everyone involved, only students may exit vehicles, and they must open and close their own car doors. Additionally, please wait for any vehicles in front of you to depart before pulling forward, and never drive around other vehicles.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
School doors open at 8:45 AM. Children should not arrive at school before 8:45 AM, as there will be no supervision until that time.
PARENT CAR DROP OFF system: The safety of our students and staff is at the forefront of all that we do. If you drop off your child in the morning, please drive down Pike Street (alleyway next to the playground entrance) to drop off your student. Please DO NOT exit your vehicle; a teacher will supervise your child(ren) while he/she exits your vehicle. Children must be ready to exit your vehicle when you stop, so it is important that they have their backpacks closed, jackets on, etc.
Please DO NOT park in any of the spaces in the parking lot as they are needed for our staff arriving at Lincoln. Also, please DO NOT block the alley or park behind vehicles already in the parking lot as staff will need to pull through to park.
WALKERS DROP OFF system: For students who will walk to Lincoln, please go to the playground to enter the building. A teacher will supervise your child(ren) while he/she enters the school. When walking to school, please utilize the sidewalk that has been installed from Harrison Street to our playground so your child(ren) can safely go to the playground during arrival without needing to walk up the alley against the car drop off traffic.
PARENT CAR/WALKING PICK UP system: The safety of our students and staff is at the forefront of all that we do. As was done last year, Student Pick-Up will occur from our playground. If you have a changel in your child’s typical dismissal procedure, please send in a note to your child’s teacher. In the event that you need to change your child’s dismissal after the start of the school day, we kindly ask that you notify the main office prior to 2:30pm. This helps to ensure that your child is dismissed appropriately and safely.
You will need to use street parking and report to the playground to pick up your child(ren). A teacher will supervise your child(ren) while he/she exits the school.
Kindergarten: will exit from Door 6. Grades 1 and 5: will exit from Door 7. Grades 2, 3, and 4: will exit from Door 5.
