Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
The safety of our students and staff is at the forefront of all that we do. To ensure student safety, please review and adhere to the following procedures.
School doors open at 8:45 AM. Children should not arrive at school before 8:45 AM, as there will be no supervision until that time.
Parent Car Drop Off Procedures
If you drop off your child in the morning, please drive down Pike Street (alleyway next to the playground entrance) to drop off your student. Please DO NOT exit your vehicle. Students should exit the vehicle adjacent from the fire lane. Adults will be providing drop-off supervision at this location. Children must be ready to exit your vehicle when you stop, so it is important that they have their backpacks closed, jackets on, etc.
Please DO NOT park in any of the spaces in the parking lot as they are needed for our staff arriving at Lincoln. Please DO NOT block the alley as faculty and staff utilize both the alley and parking spaces.
Walker Drop Off Procedures
For students who will walk to Lincoln, please go to the playground to enter the building through doors 5 or 6. Adults will supervise your child(ren) while he/she enters the school. When walking to school, please utilize the sidewalk that has been installed from Harrison Street to our playground so your child(ren) can safely go to the playground during arrival without needing to walk up the alley.
Dismissal procedures begin at 3:20. Walkers and students identified at parent pick up dismiss at 3:25. Prompt pick-up of your child is of great importance.
Parent Car and Walker Pick Up Procedures
Student Pick-Up will occur from our playground. If you have a change in dismissal from riding a bus to picking up your child, please send a note to your child’s teacher or notify the main office. Dismissal changes should be reported to the main office prior to 2:00pm. You will need to use street parking and report to the playground to pick up your child(ren). A teacher will supervise your child(ren) while he/she exits the school. Only 4th and 5th grade students may walk home independently without adult supervision. Parent permission must be received in writing for this to occur.
Kindergarten: will exit from Door 6.
Grades 1 and 5: will exit from Door 7.
Grades 2, 3, and 4: will exit from Door 5.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in following these procedures!
