Eyer Daily Announcements

Good Morning Eyer! It is Friday, November 15th and it is Day 3

Eyer Multicultural Club-In celebration of Native American Heritage month, the Eyer Multicultural Club will be hosting Chief Barbara Bluejay Michalski of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania. Join us on Tuesday, November 19th after school in the cafeteria to learn about this culture. All students interested in participating in this event must sign up in Guidance by Monday, November 18th. For additional information, see Mrs. Cosme in Guidance.

The Counseling Office is sponsoring a Sensory Activity Challenge. Engaging in Sensory Activities is a great way to destress. These include activities that affect your sight, smell, taste, and touch. Rocking in a glider, petting a dog or cat, playing an instrument, gardening, baking, reading, drawing, dancing, crocheting, playing a sport, etc. There are many activities we do on a daily basis that are little ways of managing our stress. Stop by the Counseling Office and check out our bulletin board to select a leaf with an activity on it, take it home, and get a photo of yourself engaging in that activity. Show us the photo (on your phone or via email) and we will enter your name in a drawing to be held on Tuesday, November 26th for a gift card. You can submit one entry per week, up until the 26th (3 entries max).

Head to the library if you’d like to sign up for literary lunch this month. The dates are Monday, November 18th for 6th grade, Thursday, November 21st for 7th Grade and Tuesday, November 26th for 8th Grade. The theme/spotlight is Graphic Novels.

Veterans Day Care Package Drive – Last year, while Mr. Boyle, one of our faculty members, was serving overseas with the United States Army, our school community came together to collect items for his unit deployed in the Middle East. Although Mr. Boyle has since returned, we are proud to continue this tradition by gathering items for care packages to be sent to active-duty service members as part of our Veterans Day activities. This year, we will also invite students to write letters expressing their support, appreciation, and gratitude to include with the care packages. A list of requested items is available via the following link, and donations can be dropped off in the Main Office. Thank you for your continued support!

Dave and Busters Power Card Fundraiser – From Monday, November 4 through Monday, November 18, the Eyer PTO is hosting a Dave & Buster’s Power Card Fundraiser. With each Dave and Buster’s Power Card purchase, 50% (or $10) will be donated back to the Eyer PTO, supporting student-focused programming at Eyer. Families interested in purchasing can place an order using the Dave & Buster’s Power Card Digital Order Form. These will make great stocking stuffers and can be used at the Whitehall Dave & Buster’s location. Thank you for your ongoing support!
