EPSD Middle Level Summer Reading - All students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade for the 2026–2027 school year are expected to participate in the EPSD Middle Level Summer Reading Program. The program is designed to encourage lifelong learning and promote continued reading throughout the summer months. Students should select a book, or books, based on their individual interests and course level. Upon returning to school in August, students should bring a completed Summer Reading Notes Page and be prepared to discuss and share their reading during the opening weeks of school. Food distribution will continue throughout the summer for the 2025-2026 school year. Distribution locations will remain the same. Distribution Locations and Times Emmaus High School 800 Pine Street, Emmaus, PA 10:30 AM-12:00 PM Lower Macungie Middle School 6299 Lower Macungie Road 11:30 AM-1:00 PM Located on the sidewalk in front of the LMMS school entrance Upcoming Distribution Dates Food distribution will continue each Wednesday on the following dates: June 10, 2026 June 17, 2026 June 24, 2026 July 1, 2026 July 8, 2026 July 15, 2026 July 22, 2026 July 29, 2026 August 5, 2026 August 12, 2026 August 19, 2026 Community Support The food program is sponsored by Emmaus Rotary, along with Angel Network, Faith Presbyterian Church, Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Pantry, Kiwanis, Lions Club, Lioness Club, Lower Macungie Community Center, Mack Trucks, and other local community organizations through the East Penn Food Coalition, as well as businesses in the East Penn area. PAWS Cookie Day is almost here — Friday, May 29th! Students showing their Eyer pride by wearing school colors will earn a cookie of their choice at lunch. But we need YOUR help to make it happen! Sign up to donate at least 2 dozen store-bought cookies — student favorites include sugar cookies with icing and chocolate chip cookies. Prefer to donate cash?
