8th Grade High School Transition

8th Grade Eyer Students and Families,

As we transition into the second half of the 24-25 school year, our 8th grade students are approaching the conclusion of their career here at Eyer Middle School. In order to support this transition, the Emmaus High School Counseling Office will host the annual 8th to 9th Grade Family Welcome Night on January 15th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for all current 8th Grade students and families at Emmaus High School.

The 8th to 9th Grade Family Welcome Night is designed to provide an introduction to the academic programs offered at Emmaus High School and provide families an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the physical layout of Emmaus High School. Additionally, all attendees will be able to participate in a presentation by the Emmaus High School Counseling Department (Last names A thru K @ 6:00 pm & Last names L thru Z @ 7:00 pm) as well as self-directed tours highlighting the various opportunities that are available to students at Emmaus High School. Additional information about the 8th to 9th Grade Family Welcome Night can be found using the following link.

Additionally, all current 8th grade students and their families should take time over the next couple of weeks to review the EHS Program of Studies in order to familiarize themselves with the various course options. Similarly, the EHS Counseling Office encourages all 8th grade students and their families to review and discuss the EHS 25-26 9th Grade Scheduling Worksheet prior to the course registration which will occur in February in coordination with representatives from the Eyer and EHS School Counseling Teams.

This is an exciting time for our 8th grade students and their families. We look forward to continuing to support our students as they prepare for this transition to 9th grade and enjoy the opportunity to witness the academic, social, and emotional progress that they make as they grow and mature into young adults.

 Respectfully,

Thomas Ruhf Principal truhf@eastpennsd.orgMisty Armstrong Assistant Principal marmstrong@eastpennsd.org
