Lehigh Valley Scholastic Phantoms Cup – The Emmaus Middle School Ice Hockey team is once again competing for the Lehigh Valley Scholastic Phantoms Cup! Join us in cheering them on in Round 1 on March 4th at 6:00 PM at the PPL Center in Allentown. Wear your green and gold and help us fill the arena with Hornet pride! Admission and parking are FREE, we can’t wait to see you there!
26-27 EPSD Cheerleading Tryouts – Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student athlete who is interested in trying out for the Middle Level or High School Cheerleading Squads for next school year must sign up to participate in tryouts using the Cheerleading Sign-up Google Form. All sign ups must be completed by April 13th.
Eyer Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – Registration is now open for the annual Eyer Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament! Students interested in forming a team for this 9th Period March Madness style basketball tournament must submit completed roster forms to Mr. Budinas (Room 634) during AM or PM Homeroom by March 3rd. Please see Mr. Budinas or Mr. Krempasky with any questions. We look forward to another exciting year of annual Eyer Madness competition!
Student Council Band-Aids Drive – The Eyer Student Council is once again hosting a Band-Aid collection drive to support children receiving treatment at the LVHN Pediatric Cancer Clinic. We are collecting boxes of Band-Aids in any style or design, which can be dropped off in the Main Office or Room 634. Our goal is to collect 250 boxes of colorful or themed Band-Aids to brighten the days of children across our region who are facing serious medical challenges. Thank you for helping us support this meaningful local cause. We are collecting:
- All sizes of adhesive bandages
- Fun and colorful designs
- Sensitive skin options
Eyer Family Bingo Night and Open Gym – The 2nd Annual Eyer Family Bingo Night & Open Gym is just three weeks away on Friday, March 13! Join us for an evening of bingo, basket raffles, snacks, and an open gym option for added fun. This event is a key PTO fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Eyer school community. Tickets are available through the Eyer Family Bingo Night Cheddar Up link above, and with more than 50 exciting raffle prizes, it’s sure to be a great night. Please note that this event sold out last year, so we encourage families to purchase tickets early. We hope you’ll save the date and join us!
Spring Musical Tickets – IT IS ALMOST SHOW TIME! Tickets are on sale for the Spring Musical, Matilda Jr.! Get ready for a bold, brilliant, and laugh out loud production as our talented students bring Roald Dahl’s beloved story of courage, cleverness, and a little bit of mischief to life on the Eyer stage. Matilda Jr. is packed with high-energy musical numbers, sharp humor, and a powerful message about standing up for what’s right, all led by an extraordinary young heroine who proves that being smart is a superpower. Join us for performances on March 5th and March 6th at 7 PM, and March 7, with shows at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens, and can be purchased digitally using Ludus Online Ticketing Platform. We hope to see you there!
Eyer PTO McDonald’s – Mark your calendars! The Eyer PTO is once again partnering with the Macungie McDonald’s for a Dine to Donate event on Friday, February 27, from 5:00–8:00 PM. During this time, 20% of all sales will be donated back to the Eyer PTO—no flyer required. Stop by for dinner, support our school community, and help fund programs that benefit Eyer students. Boys Volleyball Open Gym – 7th and 8th grade Boys interested in trying out for the Eyer Boys Volleyball Team are invited to come to Boys Volleyball Open Gym on February 26th from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. All student athletes participating in these Open Gym must complete the Intramural Consent Form and bring it with them on the day of the open gym. Students without a completed Intramural Consent Form will not be permitted to participate. The Intramural Consent Form can be picked up in the main office.
25-26 Yearbook Sales – Yearbook Sales Are Open! The 25–26 Eyer Yearbook is officially on sale! We are excited to continue our partnership with Christmas City Studios, allowing us to produce our yearbooks locally and include more spring activities than ever before. There are two different Cover Options, Soft Cover ($29) and Hard Cover ($36). The yearbooks are only available online via the Christmas City Studios website (https://tinyurl.com/339svee8). The deadline for sales is February 28. No books will be available for purchase in-person.
Yearbook Cover Design Contest – Attention Eyer Artists! Do you have an eye for design? Do you like to draw or paint? The Yearbook Club is taking submissions for the annual Cover Contest. The winning design will be the front cover and a runner-up may be chosen for the back cover. Submissions should be on approximately 8.5″x11″ paper and done by hand. Please turn in your submissions to the Counseling Office by Friday, March 6th. See Ms. Eustice in the Counseling Office with any questions or to see prior yearbook covers for examples.
Eyer Shave for the Brave Team – Mr. Bergey, organizer of the Eyer Shave for the Brave Team, is inviting students to join in shaving their heads to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the battle against pediatric cancer. The EHS Shave for the Brave event is scheduled for March 13th, and interested students can reach out to Mr. Bergey (abergey@eastpennsd.org) and follow the instructions to join the Eyer Shave for the Brave Team website provided above to participate on the team.
February PAWS Cookie Day – SAVE THE DATE – The February PAWS Cookie Day will take place this Friday, February 27th! Students who wear school colors will earn a cookie of their choice during lunch. We rely on the generous support of our Eyer families to keep this school tradition going. Donations can be made via the Eyer PTO Venmo account (@Eyer-Connection). When contributing, please include “Cookie Day” as your note. We are truly grateful for the ongoing generosity and support of our school community!

EPSD Education Foundation Career Exploration Fair – Registration is NOW OPEN to sign up to be a Sponsor/Vendor and share your career experiences at the EPSD Education Foundation Career Exploration Fair. AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Yearbook Club-The next two meetings for Yearbook Club will be on Thursday, February 26th and Thursday, March 5th after school in the Learning Lab.
Girls on the Run-We are less than 2 weeks away from GOTR starting. Practices will start on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 2:30-4:00. Please remember to sign up for the late bus and meet in Ms. Graham’s room after school.
6th Grade Drama Club – Want to boost your confidence, learn acting skills, and have a blast? Join the 6th Grade Drama Club! No experience is required, just bring your energy and excitement. You’ll make friends, discover your inner star, and get ready for future theatre opportunities. Drama Club meets in room 503 on Thursdays. Drama Club: Where 6th graders become STARS!
Chess Club – Join us if you love chess and want to play or learn how to. All levels welcome! We will meet on Thursdays after school in room 650.
Crochet Club – Students interested in learning the art of crochet in a fun, welcoming space can do so after school on Tuesdays in room 610. Whether you’re a beginner or already know a few stitches, you’ll create projects you can be proud of. To join, pick up a permission slip in the Guidance Office. We are always accepting fiber donations if any family has yarn to spare. Donations could be brought to the Main Office.
Four Square Club – The Eyer Four Square Club meets after school on Thursdays.
Multicultural Club – Celebrate diversity by learning about and sharing traditions, cultures, and perspectives from around the world on Thursdays in room 111
Reading Olympics Team – Love to read? Want to discuss books and play some fun trivia games? Then you should join the Reading Olympics Club! We meet two or three times a month and will be preparing for a regional competition at the end of the school year. You can read as much or as little as you like, so come on and get in on the fun! Ready to join? Sign up outside Room 636.
Walking Club – 🚶♀️🚶 Stop by the Main Office to sign up and pick up a permission slip to walk off campus. The club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Chromebooks – Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they’re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.
Late Bus The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.
Lost & Found – There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.
Weis4School Rewards Program – The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis. Eyer families can register their existing Weis Rewards Card to benefit our school by following the link below. Please consider taking these simple steps to help support programming for our students!
