January PAWS Pretzel Day
The January PAWS Pretzel Day will take place this Thursday, January 23rd. Students can purchase a soft pretzel for $1 during 9th Period. Proceeds from PAWS Pretzel Days help fund the PAWS School-Wide Positive Behavior Support incentives throughout the year.
EPSD January Calendar Reminder
As a reminder, the East Penn Secondary Students will be dismissed at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 29th for a ½ Day Staff Professional Development Day.
Girls Lacrosse Club Informational Meeting

24 / 25 Yearbook Sale
The 24-25 Yearbook is ON SALE! Students can order their yearbooks through the Christmas City Studios Website using the EyerMSYB25 Session Password. Yearbook sales will be available through April 25th. Please note that yearbooks will only be available for purchase via this digital system. No additional copies will be available for sale in person at Eyer, so don’t miss out, reserve your copy today!
Stage Crew
Calling all stage crew students! If you are interested in applying for Stage Crew for the Spring production of Frozen Jr. Please grab an application or use this page. and a conflict calendar outside of the Music room, room 310. These will be due Friday, January 24 but get them turned in directly to Mr. Davis ASAP!
2025 Yearbook Cover Design Contest
Calling all Eyer artists! The Yearbook Cover Design Contest is back! Create your vision for the 2025 Eyer Yearbook using any medium. Designs must fit an 8.5×11 page and include your full name. Multiple entries are welcome! Submit your final designs to the Counseling Office by Thursday, February 13th. Let your creativity shine!
Girls in STEM T-Shirt Logo Design Contest
Calling all designers! Eyer is looking for some creative students to help design this year’s Girls in STEM event t-shirt logo. The winning design will be featured on event shirts, and the designer will receive a gift card. Interested in creating a custom logo? Grab an application form from the main office, outside the Art rooms in the Commons, or Mrs. Gillen’s Tech Ed room. Submit your design by February 13th!
LCTI Applications
LCTI applications are now open! Don’t miss this opportunity to apply for the 2025-2026 school year. Applications are due by March 1, 2025. Please see Mr. Gee in the Counseling Office if you have questions on how to apply. We will be running application support sessions 9th period. The first will be this Friday in the LGI. EPSD Middle Level Spring Athletics Sign Ups
Sign-ups are now open for EPSD Spring Athletics! Any 7th or 8th-grade student interested in participating can register by completing the EPSD Spring Athletics Registration Form available on the Spring Athletics page of the EPSD Spring Athletics Webpage. EPSD has significantly expanded athletic opportunities for middle-level students, now offering Co-Ed Track and Field, Girls Softball, Boys Volleyball, Girls Club Lacrosse, and Boys Club Lacrosse. We encourage families to explore these exciting opportunities with their students and complete the 2024-2025 Spring Sports Sign-Ups before the February 3rd registration deadline.
January PAWS Cookie Day
The January PAWS Cookie Day will be held on Friday, January 31st. Students who are sporting the school colors will be rewarded with a cookie of their choice during lunch. Families can support this event by donating through the PAWS Cookie Day Sign-Up Genius or via Venmo (@Eyer-Connection). If using Venmo, please label your contribution as “Cookie Day.” Thank you for helping keep this annual tradition alive for our students!
February Student Social – The Sweet Escape
The Eyer STEM Club will host the Sweet Escape casual dance on Thursday, February 13th, just before the President’s Day Weekend! Tickets will be available for $6 during lunch the week of the event. Enjoy a fun-filled night featuring DJ Cap Cee, games, raffles, basketball, and dodgeball! To make the evening even more meaningful, STEM Club is collecting toiletry items for the Angel Network. For each item donated—such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, shampoo, deodorant, floss, soap, face wash, or chapstick, students will receive a raffle ticket. Prizes include gift cards to Nike or Lululemon!
Clubs:
- School Store-The school store will open Thursdays during lunches each week to sell school store items. It will open on Tuesdays for PAWS stickers items.
- Book club will the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. Our next meeting will be 01/23.
- Youth for Christ Club– This student-led club will include Bible studies, games, charity activities, and fellowship. Interested students can sign up in the main office. We meet Thursdays after school in room 104
- Math24 Club will be held on Tuesday, January 21st. See you then!
- Homework Club– Get the help you need, improve your grades, stay organized and finish assignments in a focused, quiet environment. For additional information, see Mrs. Cosme in Guidance.
- Book Club – Would you like to meet with like-minded people to share your favorite and recent reads? Then join Eyer’s Book Club. Please e-mail Mrs. Szep at lszep@eastpennsd.org to sign up!
- Mathcounts is a competitive math team that meets once a week after school; if you’re interested, visit Room 507 or email Mrs. Hummel.
- Table Top Club: Eyer’s Tabletop Club meets every Tuesday, interested students should see Mr. Davis in the music room (room 310) to sign up.
- Walking Club will continue every Tuesday and Thursday, weathering permitted. Please make sure to sign up for the late bus or make arrangements to get picked up by 4 pm

Late Bus
The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.
Chromebooks
Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they’re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.
Lost & Found
There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.
