Congratulations to the EHS Class of 2024

On June 9, 2024, the Emmaus High School Class of 2024 walked across the stage at the PPL Center to receive their diplomas. This graduation ceremony at the PPL Center is always the highlight of the EHS academic year. It was the perfect day for our teachers, administrators, and families to join the graduates in celebrating the successful completion of an exciting high school career. For these young adults, this ceremony represents a defining moment in their lives.

The Emmaus High School Orchestra performed during the processional with Pomp and Circumstance and the National Anthem. The Emmaus High School Chorale performed the Emmaus High School Alma Mater and Mrs. Beth Guarriello, Principal of Emmaus High School, welcomed the crowd and introduced the members of the Class of 1974.

Assistant Principal, Nicole D’Emilio, then introduced this year’s Dr. Herman Corradetti Academic Hall of Fame Award inductee, Angela Tran. Angela was honored for exemplifying scholarship, leadership, service, and volunteerism throughout her time at Emmaus High School.

In the area of scholarship, Angela has excelled academically and has been recognized with numerous awards during their four years at Emmaus High School. With a 4.63 GPA, this year’s recipient has demonstrated remarkable academic excellence by earning straight A’s in 7 Honors Courses and a remarkable 8 AP courses over the past four years, including AP Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, English Literature, Spanish, and Advanced Calculus Honors classes. Her achievements extend beyond the classroom, garnering recognitions such as membership in the National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Tri-M Music Honors Society, National Merit Commended Student, and the prestigious AP Scholar with Distinction award. This well-rounded student epitomizes Dr. Corradetti’s vision of scholastic excellence.

Angela has been a proven leader not only in school but in the community. She has been the leader in various clubs, activities, and organizations, including the co-founder of the SAT Prep group, a state qualifier and Media Relations Chair for FBLA, an executive board member for the EHS Science Olympiad team, and the Class of 2024 Secretary.

In the area of service and volunteerism, Angela was an EHS New Student mentor, giving up time to help new students navigate building transitions to help students acclimate to the new school environment.  She is also a Da Vinci Science Center volunteer, dedicating her time and efforts to supporting the programs and activities at the new center.

Angela is planning on attending Harvard University in the fall and will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Congratulations, Angela!

The graduation ceremony continued with student representatives taking the stage. Class of 2024 President, Ryan Baig; President of the National Honor Society, Kayra Gokce; LCTI Representative, Rishi Baveja; and Class of 2024 Representative, Isabella Madison Sparaco captivated their audience with speeches about the events and memories of the past decade that have shaped them into who they are today. After all of the graduates were announced, East Penn School Board President, Dr. Joshua Levinson, declared the Class of 2024 graduated.

Graduating from school is a significant milestone which marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and personal growth. Congratulations to all the graduates for their achievements and best wishes for the exciting journey that lies ahead for each one of you. Whether you’re continuing your education, entering the workforce, or pursuing other endeavors, may you find success and fulfillment in everything you do!
