Welcome
To address district building capacity issues, the East Penn School District administration introduced an EPSD Facilities Plan to the School Board on October 23, 2023. After two years of planning, the first phase of this plan to realign grades K-8 was approved by our school board on November 13, 2023. Local architectural firm, Breslin and Associates supported our administration in presenting options to address facilities improvement projects across the district to better meet the educational goals and priorities of our district.
The approved K-8 realignment will redesign our two middle school buildings as a 5th and 6th grade building and a 7th and 8th grade building. Our elementary schools will transition into K-4 buildings. By realigning the current elementary and middle school model, we will solve future capacity concerns and create enhanced and equitable opportunities for all students.

Realignment Areas of Focus
Throughout this process, four areas of focus will guide all decision making: academics, opportunities, equity, and finances. Subcommittees will refer to these areas of focus throughout their work to ensure that decisions made reflect the future vision of education, broaden accessibility for all students, support inclusivity and sense of belonging, and reflect a financially feasible and sustainable option for the district.
