Student Services Functions

*CHAPTER 15-504’s – PROTECTED HANDICAPPED STUDENTS
The Service Agreement is a written agreement providing services and accommodations designed to meet the educational needs of a student with a disability who is not eligible for special education services.
If you believe your child qualifies for a 504 Service Agreement, contact the psychologist assigned to your child’s school.

*Section 13-1302 – PA School Code
“When a resident of any school district keeps in his/her home a child of school age, not his/her own, supporting the child gratis as if the child were his/her own, such child should be entitled to all free school privileges accorded to resident school children of the district.”

To qualify the following conditions must be met:

  • The student must reside with the residents continuously and not merely through the school term.
  • Residents must support the child gratis
  • Residents must assume all personal obligations for the child relative to school requirements

The Education of Children Residing with an Adult Other than Natural Parent must be completed prior to entry into East Penn, and  renewed yearly by the resident prior to the start of each school year.

The Education of Children Residing with an Adult Other than Natural Parent – Foster placements.
The Entrance Certificate for Child Placed in the Home of Resident of the East Penn School District must be completed prior to entry into East Penn and renewed yearly by the placing agency.
