Activating SchoolMessenger Account

Login into PowerSchool
Click on the “SchoolMessenger” link at the bottom of the sidebar
In the “Welcome to SchoolMessenger” page you will be asked to verify your account by following the instructions sent to the email displayed.
Activation Email
You will receive an email called “Account Activation”
Click on the link in the email to activate and validate your SchoolMessenger account

You will be redirected to a confirmation page
Click on the link at the bottom of the message

You will be prompted to select your contact preference for the numbers listed on your account

Reporting an Absence

Off canvas menu - attendance
Click on “Attendance
pin setting button
Click “Manage your PIN Settings”
Student Pin Settings
Select your students, enter a unique 4-digit PIN (The 4-digit PIN is used for all listed students, when reporting an absence)
and click Save

Through assigning a PIN, this number will need to be entered before any absence can be reported or explained when using the SafeArrival phone number (833) 306-2461. This provides an additional layer of security and also prevents students from reporting their own absences.

Report an absence
Click on “Report an Absence” select your student, select the type of absence, select absence reason, select date of absence, enter comment(not required), add attachment(not required) (ex: Doctors note), and click “Send.”
