The Board of School Directors of East Penn School District meet regularly on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room located at 800 Pine Street, Emmaus, PA 18049, unless otherwise noted.
The meeting agenda, including supporting documentation, is made available to board members prior to the meeting in BoardDocs.
The board meeting is chaired by the President or, in his absence, the Vice President. Two students from the Emmaus High School Student Government Association are selected to join the board as non-voting representatives. These representatives will attend one designated board meeting a month during the school year.
Section 508 of the PA School Code enumerates a number of actions, where a majority vote of school board directors is required, and where such votes shall be duly recorded.
Board Development Programs
The Pennsylvania School Boards Association provides learning opportunities for school board directors to develop and expand their leadership skills and their knowledge about their role. PSBA offers required school director training, school law workshops, leadership conferences, online learning, webcasts and webinars.
