East Penn School District Nondiscrimination Statement
The East Penn School District shall not discriminate in their academic programs, activities or employment practices based on gender, race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion or any other legally protected classification.
What is Title IX?
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces, among other statutes, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance.
Title IX states that:
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

East Penn School District Title IX Coordinator
In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972, the District has a designated Title IX Coordinator for employees, students, and athletics. The District’s Title IX Coordinator should be contacted regarding any inquiries as to the application of Title IX or filing a harassment complaint.
