Each summer graduating seniors’ Google content is purged from the system. You are encouraged to take the data, which you have created throughout your years here, with you as you continue on your educational journey. The instructions below explain how to export or transfer your digital content from Google. You need to accomplish this task before July 1st of your graduating year.
Export Google Data
Export Google Drive Content Only
Log in to Google, using your East Penn Google account credentials, and select Google Drive from the menu.
At the main My Drive list, click the top file/folder in the list and while holding the Shift key, scroll and click the bottom file or folder in the list.
Right click the list of files and select Download.
The ZIP file is downloaded to the default download location on your computer.
Unzip or decompress this file so you may access, view and use your documents.
Log out of Google when finished.
Click Google File Export to view a video demonstration.
Export Additional Google Apps Content, including Drive
Downloading additional Google application content requires the use of the Download Data Tool.
Navigate to Download your Data webpage
Enter your East Penn Google account credentials.
Select the products that you would like to include or exclude in your download by clicking the blue switch. A blue switch indicates a selected item and a gray switch indicates it is not selected.
Click the chevron, or arrow, to the right of the application name to choose the file format for that specific data.
Click the Next button.
Choose the file type for the download, .zip is the standard option.
Select the desired Delivery Method, Send download link via email or Add to Drive.
Click the Create archive button.
A message will display indicating the archive is being processed.
You may download your archive using the link provided in your email or if you archived to your Google Drive, you may download the archived file from Drive.
You may also navigate back to the Download Data Tool web page, click the Manage Archives button and download the data.
Unzip or decompress the file so you may access, view and use the content.
Log out of Google when finished.
Please note that the archived data file is only available for 7 days.

Transfer Google Data
Navigate to the Google “Transfer your content” web page at https://takeout.google.com/transfer?pli=1
Log in using your East Penn Google account credentials
Enter the destination Google account email address (the personal Google account address)
Click the “Send Code” button.
A confirmation email will be sent to the destination or personal gmail account entered earlier
Using another web browser, log in to your personal gmail account.
Open the confirmation email and click the Get Confirmation Code button
Enter the code provided in the field on the “transfer your content” web page
Click the Verify button
Select the desired product options to transfer, verify the destination email address listed and click the “Start Transfer” button
The transfer process will begin and you will be notified via email when it is complete.
