EPSD Girls in STEM Day Sign Ups

The East Penn Middle Level Technology & Engineering Department is excited to present the 6th annual Girls in STEM event at Eyer Middle School on Saturday, April 12th. Get ready for a fun-filled day of collaboration and hands-on STEM experiences featuring the EHS Jasper program, EHS Tech Ed department, EHS National Science Honor Society, Let’s Build, LCTI, and the Emmaus Juxtahub. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to explore STEM, connect with industry professionals, and engage in interactive activities. Signups are capped at the first 40 students from each middle school who sign up. A digital copy of the sign up can be accessed via the following link. Paper copies of the sign ups can be found with your middle level Tech Ed teacher. 

Eyer Madness 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

The Annual Eyer Madness 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament is quickly approaching. Any students interested in signing a team up to participate in this 9th Period activity up must submit the completed forms to Mr. Budinas in Room 634 during AM or PM Homeroom by Tuesday, March 4th. Digital copies of the form can be found via the following links (Boys Sign Up & Girls Sign Up) and paper copies can be found outside of Room 634. We look forward to another year of great 3 v 3 action during the Eyer Madness Tournament! 

Multicultural Club Black History Month Activity

Students interested in celebrating Black History Month can join the Eyer Multicultural Club after school today, February 27th, for fun trivia and a baking session in Room 402. EHS Girls Soccer Summer League

Calling all 7th and 8th grade girls soccer players! Get ready for an exciting summer league at Whitehall HS Soccer/Football Turf Fields. The team will play on Wednesdays and Thursdays, May 28th through July 10th, with game times at 5:00, 6:15, 7:30, or 8:45 PM. The league fee is $80-$100. PAWS Cookie Day Donations

Our next PAWS Cookie Day is tomorrow, February 28! Students who show their school spirit by wearing Eyer colors will receive a cookie of their choice during lunch. PAWS Cookie Day is a success because of our families! Please sign up to donate at least 2 dozen store-bought cookies. Favorites among our students include sugar cookies with icing and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Interested families can also donate easily through Venmo! Send your cash donation to @Eyer-Connection and label it “Cookie Day.”

Eyer Musical

Get ready for a magical journey to Arendelle as our talented students bring Frozen Jr. to life on stage! You won’t want to miss this enchanting performance filled with heartwarming moments, unforgettable songs, and dazzling costumes. The show runs Thursday, March 6 – Saturday, March 8 with a 7pm show each night and a 2 pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. Bring your friends and family to enjoy this frosty adventure full of laughter, love, and courage. Don’t let it go—mark your calendars and join us for Frozen Jr. We can’t wait to see you there!

24 / 25 Yearbook Sale

The 24-25 Yearbook is ON SALE! Families can order their yearbooks through the Christmas City Studios Website using the EyerMSYB25 Session Password. Yearbook sales will be available through April 25th. Please note that yearbooks will only be available for purchase via this digital system. No additional copies will be available for sale in person at Eyer, so don’t miss out, reserve your copy today!

EPSD Education Foundation 8th Grade Yard Signs

The East Penn Education Foundation wants to help make the end of the year special for your favorite Eyer 8th Grader! Annual Eyer Art Show

Special Art Show Announcement:  The deadline to submit your artwork for the Art Show is next Monday, March 3rd.  You are allowed to submit as many artworks as you want.  Prizes will be given to first, second, and third place winners. Please submit your work to Mr. Willett in room 222

LCTI Applications

LCTI applications are now open! Don’t miss this opportunity to apply for the 2025-2026 school year. Applications are due by March 1, 2025. Please see Mr. Gee in the Counseling Office if you have questions on how to apply. We will be running application support sessions 9th period. The first will be this Friday in the LGI. If you are interested in signing up, please use the link posted in Updates on the Class of 2029 Schoology page.

We have winter coats and accessories available in our foyer if needed. Please feel free to stop by.

Clubs:

Girls on the Run– For girls that signed up for Girls on the Run, our first practice is next Tuesday, March 4th. Please bring appropriate clothes to run outside, sneakers, and water. Please find Mrs. Hackman or Mrs. Batz with questions or concerns.

School Store-The school store will open Thursdays during lunches each week to sell school store items.  It will open on Tuesdays for PAWS stickers items.

Youth for Christ Club– This student-led club will include Bible studies, games, charity activities, and fellowship. Interested students can sign up in the main office. We meet Thursdays after school in room 104

Homework Club– Get the help you need, improve your grades, stay organized and finish assignments in a focused, quiet environment. For additional information, see Mrs. Cosme in Guidance.

Mathcounts is a competitive math team that meets once a week after school; if you’re interested, visit Room 507 or email Mrs. Hummel.

Table Top Club: Eyer’s Tabletop Club meets every Tuesday, interested students should see Mr. Davis in the music room (room 310) to sign up.

Walking Club – With the very seasonal weather this week we would like to get out and walk on Tuesday and Thursday.  Bring your jackets and lets get back to walking.

Late Bus
The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.

Chromebooks

Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they’re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.

Lost & Found
There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.

Weis4School Rewards Program – The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis. Eyer families can register their existing Weis Rewards Card to benefit our school by following the link below. Please consider taking these simple steps to help support programming for our students!
