Early Dismissal
Eyer students will dismiss at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 23rd. Lunch WILL NOT be provided.
Talent Show
Thank you to all who have signed up to be a part of this year’s talent show. Complete rosters for the talent show are posted outside of Mrs. Hastie’s classroom, room 122, and Mrs. Knecht’s classroom, room 635. The talent show will take place during school on Monday, June 9th. There are 2 mandatory rehearsals for all participants, including MCs and stage crew on Wednesday, June 4th and Thursday, June 5th until 5 pm. Please arrange for a ride home on those days. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Knecht or Mrs. Hastie as soon as possible.Â
No School – Memorial Day
The East Penn School District will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. The EPSD will reopen on Tuesday, May 27th.
Summer Library Book Access
Students who wish to borrow books over the summer must complete a Summer Book Check-Out Permission Slip. Paper copies are available in the LMC, and a digital version is accessible through the provided link and on the library website. Without a signed permission slip, all library books are due back by Tuesday, May 20th. Students with a signed form may check out up to ten books to enjoy over the summer!
PAWS Pretzel Day – NEW DATE!
The final PAWS Pretzel Day for the 2024–2025 school year has been moved to Wednesday, June 4th to avoid a conflict with the 6th Grade Field Trip. Students who wish to purchase a pretzel will be able to do so during 9th Period.
Annual Tree Hugger
It is that time of year, we are looking for nominations for the coveted Tree Hugger Award. The Tree Hugger Award is the ONLY Student nominated award that is given to a Faculty or Staff member. This award is given to the faculty or staff member that is considered to be the MOST environmentally conscious, the person that shows the most love of the planet. This person should show they practice all that they teach about saving our planet.
Nomination forms can be picked up in the main office. Please fill out and return by June 4th.
EPSD Summer Relocation Form
Any current Eyer family planning to move over the summer should have their student stop by the School Counseling Office to pick up an EPSD Relocation Form. Completed forms should be returned to the Eyer School Counseling Office as soon as possible. This step is essential to ensure your child’s educational records are transferred promptly and accurately to their new school. Call 610-965-1605 if you have any questions.
PAWS Cookie Day
The final PAWS Cookie Day of the 2024-2025 school year is happening on May 30th! Students who wear Eyer school colors will receive a cookie during lunch. This beloved tradition wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our school community. If your family is interested in contributing to our final Cookie Day, please sign up through the PAWS Cookie Day Sign Up Genius. Thank you for helping us continue this fun and tasty Eyer tradition!
Study Abroad Opportunity
Dream about traveling the world? Would you like the opportunity to travel with Sra. Kannenberg and EF Educational Tours. EPSD Fall Sports Sign Ups
Any student athlete interested in participating on a 2025 EPSD Fall Sports Team must complete the 2025 Fall Sports Sign-up Form by June 1st. Additional information about the EPSD Fall Sports including information about the required physicals can be found via the following link. All questions about any of the EPSD Athletic Programs should be directed to the EPSD Athletic Department.
Boys Basketball Open Gym
Attention all boys entering grades 7 and 8 next school year. Open gym will be held from 2:45-4:30pm on Wednesday, 5/28. You must fill out and bring an Intramural Activities Consent Form in order to participate. This form will be available in the Eyer Main Office.
CLUB INFORMATION
Writers Club
Writers Club will be held in Room 635 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you’re interested in writing your own book or want to improve your writing skills, come join us!! If you have any questions you can email Miss Glowancki at aglowacki@eastpennsd.org.
School Store
The school store will open Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunches each week to sell school store items. It will open on Wednesdays for PAWS stickers items.
Youth for Christ Club
This student-led club will include Bible studies, games, charity activities, and fellowship. Interested students can sign up in the main office. We meet Thursdays after school in room 104
Homework Club
Get the help you need, improve your grades, stay organized and finish assignments in a focused, quiet environment. For additional information, see Mrs. Cosme in Guidance.
Table Top Club
Eyer’s Table Top Club meets every Tuesday, interested students should see Mr. Davis in the music room (room 310) to sign up.
Walking Club
There will be walking club Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting.
RECURRING
Late Bus
The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.
Chromebooks
Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they’re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.
Lost & Found
There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.

The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis.
