Good Morning Eyer! It is June 1st. It is Day 2

Upcoming Calendar Reminders – The last day of school is Wednesday June 10th. Eyer students will be dismissed at 11 AM on June 10th. Lunch WILL NOT be served.  

EPSD Fall Sports Sign Ups – The final day to sign up for Fall Sports is Monday, June 1st. Any student athlete interested in joining a 2026 EPSD Fall Sports Team must complete the EPSD 2026 Fall Sports Google Form by June 1st. For additional information, including requirements for physical examinations and the required IMPACT Testing please visit the EPSD Athletics Website. Questions about athletics or the process should be directed to the EHS Athletics Department.

8th Grade EPSD Chromebook Collection – All current 8th grade students will return their EPSD issued Chromebook and charger on Wednesday, June 3rd, prior to leaving the building for Field Day. Students must return both their Chromebook and the original charger that was issued with the device when they entered 6th grade. Before turning in their Chromebook, students should remove any stickers, decals, or other decorations from the exterior of the device.

Eyer Field Day – Field Day will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd, and Eyer students will rotate through a variety of outdoor activities at Macungie Memorial Park. Students must return their Field Day Permission Slips to their Homeroom Teacher by Tuesday, June 2nd. Students who do not submit Field Day Permission Slips will remain on campus in a supervised study hall.

PAWS Freeze Pop Day – The final PAWS Freeze Pop Day of the school year will happen on June 9th. Students interested in purchasing a large freeze pop can do so for $1 during 9th Period. Proceeds from this sale will go toward supporting the PAWS School Wide Positive Behavior Support Program. 

Eyer PTO McDonald’s Dine to Donate – On Monday, June 8th, from 5 PM to 7 PM, the Eyer PTO will partner with the Emmaus McDonald’s for our final Dine to Donate event of the school year. During this time, 20% of all sales will be donated directly back to the Eyer PTO, no flyer required. Please help spread the word and consider stopping by for dinner, dessert, or a snack while supporting our school community and helping fund programs and opportunities that benefit Eyer students.

Talent Show– Thank you to all of you who auditioned for this year’s talent show.  Eyer is definitely in for a treat with all of this year’s talented students performing! Unless you heard otherwise from Mrs. Hastie or Mrs. Knecht, your act made it into the talent show.  The talent show is on Friday, June 5th during the school day.  We will have 2 mandatory dress rehearsals on rehearsals are Tuesday and Wednesday this week after school until 5 pm.  Please make sure you have costumes, are prepared to perform, and arrange for a ride home on these days.  If for some reason you are unable to attend either dress rehearsal, please see Mrs. Knecht or Mrs. Hastie ASAP.  Thank you!

Time for Treehugger nominations – The Treehugger Award is given to the faculty or staff member that shows and promotes being the most environmentally conscious.  This is the only award given to an adult, and the only award nominated by students. It only takes a moment to let me know why the person you are nominating  deserves this most prestigious award.  Please stop by the main office and pick up a nomination sheet. All nominations due by June 5th. Thank you.

EPSD Summer Relocation Form – Any current Eyer family planning to move over the summer should have their student stop by the School Counseling Office to pick up an EPSD Relocation Form. Completed forms should be returned to the Eyer School Counseling Office as soon as possible. This step is essential to ensure your child’s educational records are transferred promptly and accurately to their new school. Call 610-965-1605 if you have any questions. 

Eyer Agenda Book Sponsors – The cost to produce Student Agenda Books continues to be significantly higher than years past. In an effort to prevent this increase from taking away from other critical student focused work we are seeking sponsorships in order to defer the significant cost increase. Any local business that is interested in supporting Eyer in the production of our 26-27 Student Agenda Books can complete the following26-27 Eyer Agenda Book Sponsor Form and help us to ensure that these critical time management tools continue to remain in the hands of our students. EHS Rifle Team Information – Join the Emmaus High School Rifle Team! Is your rising 9th grade student looking for a unique and challenging winter sport? The Emmaus High School Rifle Team is seeking dedicated student-athletes who want to be part of a competitive program built on excellence, growth, and personal achievement. No prior experience is necessary, just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to hard work and team expectations. Team members develop focus, discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship while competing in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Rifle League. Students interested in joining should be prepared for practices held Monday through Friday during the winter sports season. Winter sports sign-up information will be shared in the fall. Camelot for Children Summer Camp Volunteers – Looking for a meaningful way to give back this summer? Camelot for Children, a local organization that provides free camp experiences for children and young adults with intellectual and/or medical disabilities, is seeking volunteers for their upcoming summer camps. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to make a real difference in the lives of campers who may not otherwise have access to traditional camp experiences. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate. Additional information can be found via the link in the heading. 

EHS Girls Basketball Summer Camp – The Emmaus High School Girls Basketball Team is hosting a Youth Girls Basketball Camp from July 20th through the 23rd for female student athletes in grades 2 to 9. Additional details can be found via the link in the heading. 

EHS Cheerleading Summer Camp – The Emmaus High School Cheerleading program is hosting a Youth Summer Cheer Camp from June 15th through the 19th for student athletes in grades 1 to 8. Additional details can be found via the link in the heading. 

EHS Football Summer Camp – The Emmaus High School Football Team is hosting a Youth Football Camp from June 15th through the 19th for student athletes entering grades 3 to 9. Additional details can be found via the link in the heading. 

Emmaus Boys Lacrosse Camp – The Emmaus Boys Lacrosse Summer Camp will take place on Thursday, June 11, at the East Penn School District Football Stadium at Emmaus High School. The camp is open to boys entering grades 3 through 9 and is designed for both beginner and experienced players. This is a great opportunity for players to develop their skills, make new friends, and enjoy a fun day of lacrosse. Emmaus Girls Lacrosse Summer Camp – The Emmaus Girls Lacrosse Camp is open to players of all experience levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. The camp will be held on July 10th and/or July 24th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Emmaus Football Stadium. The cost is $90 for one day or $150 for both days, and payment can be made via Venmo to @emmaussting. Registration is available at https://forms.gle/V2NN4SqBwsosBEKm8. The camp will be led by Emmaus High School and Middle School coaches, along with Emmaus High School alumni. EHS Boys Soccer Summer Camp – The Emmaus High School Boys Soccer Team is hosting Boys Soccer ID Camp from June 1st through the 4th for male student athletes entering grades 7 to 9. Additional details can be found via the link in the heading.

SteelStacks Sensory Friendly Film Series– The Sensory Friendly Family Film Series returns to Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas from May 13th through August 19th with all screenings being FREE to attend! The Sensory Friendly Family Film Series is designed to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for all families. Talking, walking, and stimming are permitted, the lights are dimmed but remain on, film volume is lowered, and previews are skipped. Families with special dietary needs are also welcome to bring their own food. RECURRING

Chromebooks – Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they’re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.

Late Bus The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.

Lost & Found – There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.

Weis4School Rewards Program – The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis. Eyer families can register their existing Weis Rewards Card to benefit our school by following the link below. Please consider taking these simple steps to help support programming for our students!
