Eyer School Community,
Please accept this communication as a follow up to our previously shared save the date information to Eyer Meet the Teacher Night on September 2nd from 6:00–7:30 PM. Additional information about the evening is outlined below and included in the attached document. To help manage building capacity and provide a positive experience for all families, we ask that you review the schedule and attend the session that corresponds with the first letter of your last name. Following this schedule will help balance attendance across sessions and allow us to comfortably accommodate all families who wish to participate.
| Students LAST NAMES A-K6:00 PM – 6:40 PM (Session 1): Attend Whole Group POD Meeting 6:50 PM – 7:30 PM (Session 2): Attend Related Arts and Specialist Classrooms |
| Students LAST NAMES L-Z6:00 PM – 6:40 PM (Session 1): Attend Related Arts and Specialist Classrooms6:50 PM – 7:30 PM (Session 2): Attend Whole Group POD Meeting |
Please note that the primary purpose of Meet the Teacher Night is to provide families with an opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and learn more about Eyer’s instructional program and general classroom expectations. The evening is not designed for individual conversations regarding a student’s progress, performance, or goals. Families will have opportunities for these more individualized conversations during our Parent Teacher Conferences, which will be held in November and March.
Additionally, families are also encouraged to attend our annual Meet the Teacher Night Community Resource Fair, beginning at 5 PM in the Cafeteria and Commons and continuing throughout Meet the Teacher Night. The fair will feature representatives from a variety of community organizations that provide resources and services to support students and families throughout the Lehigh Valley. Families are welcome to visit with participating organizations at any point during the evening.
Finally, as part of the Community Resource Fair, families are also encouraged to attend one of two JOSHWAY Digital Diet Workshops, offered from 5 PM to 6 PM and 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Auditorium. This interactive presentation will provide practical strategies to help families develop a healthier and more intentional relationship with technology, better understand the impact of screen time, and create greater balance with technology at home.
We look forward to welcoming the members of the Eyer School Community to the hallways and instructional spaces at Eyer on September 2nd.
Respectfully,
| Thomas Ruhf Principal truhf@eastpennsd.org | Misty Armstrong Assistant Principal marmstrong@eastpennsd.org |
