Spring Musical
Tickets for EHS’s spring musical, Mamma Mia, will be on sale beginning Monday Feb 3 on the EHS website. Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens and $14 for adults. The show will run April 2 through 6 at 7:00 PM in the EHS auditorium. Come out to support our cast, crew, and musicians!
LCTI
LCTI applications are now open for next school year. Please see the purple Scheduling folder in your Schoology “Class of” account for more information and the link to the application. If you currently attend LCTI and plan to attend again next year, you do not need to complete a new application for next school year. The deadline for submitting LCTI applications for next year is March 1st.
KU Early College Academy
Thinking about becoming a teacher? Want to make an impact in students’ lives? EHS’s Field Study program in partnership with Kutztown University is offering a unique opportunity for students who plan to major in Education in college to get an early start on their coursework. Through the KU Early College Academy students can take college level Education courses at the university for college credit and receive EHS Field Study credit at the same time. If you are a current sophomore or junior and would like to learn more about this exciting program, please plan to attend an informational meeting in the MMR on Tuesday February 25th during Homeroom. Kutztown representatives will be on hand to review the program and answer questions. You may also contact the Field Study Coordinator, Mrs. Duffy, at kduffy@eastpennsd.org with questions.
Field Study
Attention current sophomores and juniors: If you are interested in applying for the Field Study program for the 25-26 school year, please plan to attend one of two information sessions that will take place prior to course registration. The sessions will be held during HR in MMR B on Monday 2/10 and Tuesday 2/18. Details about the program and application process will be reviewed. You can also access information on the Field Study website. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Duffy at kduffy@eastpennsd.org.

Lifeguard Course
The Lifeguarding Course will be offered again for the 2025-2026 school year.
Any current freshman that would like to take the lifeguarding course next year in place of their aquatics course or as an elective as well as any current sophomore or junior interested in taking lifeguarding as an elective next year please Fill out the lifeguard prerequisite form on your class schoology page.
We will be holding six pre-test sessions on January, 14th, 15th, 22nd, 23rd and 31st and on February 5th.
A pass will be given to you during hornet homeroom to take the prerequisite tests in the pool on the date you sign up for.
The Two prerequisite tests will include a 300-yard swim under ten minutes and treading water for two minutes without using your hands. All aquatics swim attire guidelines are enforced for the tests.
If you have any questions, you can ask any health, wellness/fitness teacher.
EHS Red Cross Club
Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.? EHS Red Cross Club is promoting Miller-Keystone Blood Donation Centers. If you donate blood and have proof, come to room 16 (Montepeque) for a bag of candy! Additionally, you’ll get a T-shirt from Miller-Keystone at the donation site. See the fliers posted around the school to scan the QR code for more information.

Peer Tutoring
If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2024-25 Student Tutoring Request Form. Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Library. Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.
School Store
The EHS school store has a lot going this dreary January – all Gray attire is 20% so let’s get cozy in a spirit wear groufit!! We are also selling Basketball T-shirts for $15 that benefit the team’s booster club. Get a ticket for a free hotdog with purchase. And let’s support our wrestlers this season! Go to a match, snap a picture as proof and show our workers to get a free candy of your choice. Let’s GO HORNETS!
School Store is open Tuesday through Friday blocks 1-4 and closed during homeroom. Students should visit during Study Halls only and obtain a special pass through their study hall proctors.
After School Homework Help
EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 2024). Teachers will be available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Taking advantage of this resource can make a significant difference in academic performance and overall confidence at school.
Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. They are happy and excited to help students succeed in their classes for the remainder of the school year. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.
Late Bus
Sign up online using the Late Bus Google Form in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May.
Chromebook / IT Help
The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:25 pm outside the library entrance.
** Thursdays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:25PM **
Clubs
- The Biology Olympiad Study Club meetings take place every other Tuesday after school and every Monday during homeroom in Mr. LaBar’s room (112).
