Bridge Club

The American Contract Bridge League is very interested in supporting the creation of a Bridge Club at Emmaus HS.  They will supply all the necessary playing materials and instructors for as long as the club continues.  Here is a link to Jump Start Bridge so anyone interested can get more specific information:  https://www.jumpstartbridge.org/

To do this they need a faculty member to initiate the process of creating a club and then be the advisor.   Please contact Mrs. Okken if interested and/or Mike Waddell [mgwaddx@gmail.com] if you have any questions.

The ACBL will pay a stipend of $350 to a teacher who is the advisor for at least 8 students a minimum of 16 hours which includes play/practice. Multiple stipends are available (up to 10!).  One stipend is available for each group of 8 students with 16 hrs of participation.

Global Citizens Club

Calling all students, faculty, and staff: Global Citizens Club seeks your input and creativity!

This year’s GCC t-shirt slogan will be “Kindness speaks all languages“. We ask your input to think of and create a t-shirt design that represents this important idea. Let your mind soar. What does “Kindness speaks all languages” symbolize, look like, and represent? Create a design that SHOWS what this phrase means. Your design can be hand-drawn, done on the computer, rough or fully refined.

Get your design(s) to Mrs. Kita in room 13 or email it/them to tkita@eastpennsd.org by Monday, January 26th. If our club member members choose your design, you will get recognition and a complimentary 2026 GCC t-shirt item.

Please reach out to Mrs. Kita with any questions.

Shave for the Brave

As we enter the season of gratitude and giving, please mark your calendar for the Emmaus Shave for the Brave on Friday, March 13, 2026 whether you’re a returning attendee or you’ve never been to one of our previous eight biennial head-shaving events at Emmaus High School! Our goal is to raise $100,000 through 100+ bald heads for kids’ cancer research!

St. Baldrick’s is the top charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S. and around the world—sign up to shave your head as a “shavee” OR raise money while keeping your hair as a “fundraising participant!” Can’t join us? Please make a generous donation to give kids the long, healthy lives they deserve: https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/emmaus9

We would greatly appreciate our community’s efforts to join forces for this common cause:

  • donate a shirt for our raffle quilt (list of needed shirts
  • solicit raffle donations/ shirt sponsors (letters attached)
  • recruit certified barbers to volunteer their time and talents
  • sign up as a shavee or fundraising participant and invite your friends to join your team
  • come to the Shave to show support and celebrate life
  • stay up to date via https://www.facebook.com/EmmausShave/

Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you’ll be a part of the excitement of the Emmaus Shave for the Brave at EHS on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 5 p.m. You won’t regret it!

Stay tuned to purchase t-shirts, long-sleeves, and hoodies; we’ll advertise the link in early February!

Thank you for being a HERO for kids with cancer!

Schedule your appointment by calling 800-223-6667 and mentioning Group ID 3345, or visit GIVEaPINT.org and include Group ID 3345 in the notes section of the form, or scan the QR code found in fliers around school.

The nearest donation center is located at: 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Ste 1300 | Allentown.
