Field Study

Any 10th or 11th grade student interested in learning more about the Field Study program for the 26-27 school year should plan to attend one of the upcoming informational meetings. Sessions will be held during HR on Wednesday 2/18 and Friday 2/20 in the BLACK BOX. Please get a pass from your HR teacher on the day of the session. Questions about the program can be sent to Mrs. Duffy (kduffy@eastpennsd.org).

Academic Team Fundraiser

Spare some change. Strike up some knowledge. Spread the word and join us for Tenpins for Trivia on February 8 any time from 11am-2pm at the New Jordan Lanes in Whitehall to help fund the Academic Team’s trip to Nationals and future competitions! Get 2 games and shoe rental for $20 per person! Fill out this google form to sign up for tickets. You may also purchase them during all lunches.  If you can’t make it on Feb 8, you can still use the tickets for open bowling until March 31.

Spring Musical

Tickets are now on sale for EHS’s spring musical, Jekyll & Hyde.  The show runs March 24-29.  Tickets are $14 for students and $16 for adults, and can be purchased on the EHS website. Come out to support our cast, crew, and musicians!

Shave for the Brave

Be a hero for kids with cancer through the Emmaus Shave for the Brave on Friday, March 13, 2026! Our pediatric cancer fundraiser is a St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event that raises money for invaluable research. Everyone is welcome in the EHS Gym, and our goal is to raise $100,000 through 100+ bald heads. 

If you’ve never been to a St. Baldrick’s event, prepare to experience something really special. All are welcome; we are so excited to celebrate life with you! Will you join us to conquer kids’ cancer?

Spring Sports Information

It is time for the Spring 2025-26 sports sign-ups There is a lot of important information in this email.  Please see below for all updates regarding sign-ups and impact testing.  Information regarding PIAA Sports physicals is also included.  

High School Spring Sports Sign-ups

Link for 2025-2026 Spring Sports Sign-up Form is below.  The due date for students to fill out this form is February 8, 2026.  On February 9th, coaches will receive the sign-up lists via the google link to be able to add anyone interested in signing up and have not done so.  Coaches will have until February 22nd to add student-athletes.

Impact Testing

Can be completed now.  7th/8th/9th/11th/new athletes and anyone who sustained a concussion within the past year and has not re-taken the impact baseline test will need to take it.  See instructions that are attached to this email.  Our impact testing coordinator is Tori Ruvolis.  Her email address is:  vruvolis@eastpennsd.org should you have any questions

SPRING Sport PIAA Physicals

PIAA physicals sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Health Network and Jefferson Hospitals 

Attached is the flyer for 2026 PIAA Spring Sports Physicals. Please feel free to distribute amongst your athletic community.  Refer to the attached letter.

 A couple of highlights:

  • The physicals window will open on Monday January 19th, 2026 and will remain open through the first week of spring sports, closing at the end of business on Friday March 6th, 2026.
  • Physicals can be scheduled at ANY ExpressCare OR JeffExpress Urgent Care locations!
  • Student athletes who have a current annual well check on file with their LVHN primary care clinician can have their PIAA physical paperwork signed by their clinician at no charge during the designated physical

Lifeguard Course

Any current freshman that would like to take the lifeguarding course next year in place of their aquatics course or if you are a sophomore or junior interested in taking lifeguarding as an elective next year, please fill out the lifeguard prerequisite form on your class schoology page. 

We will be holding six pre-test sessions on January, 27th, 29th, 30th, 23rd, February 3rd and on February 5th. 

A pass will be given to you during hornet homeroom to take the prerequisite tests in the pool on the date you sign up for. 

The Two prerequisite tests will include a 300-yard swim under ten minutes and treading water for two minutes without using your hands. All aquatics swim attire guidelines are enforced for the tests. 

Phantoms Night

Emmaus High School Choir will be performing the Nation Anthem at the Lehigh Valley Phantoms game on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 7:05 p.m. Purchase tickets for $20.

Emmaus FBLA Fundraiser

Red Cross

Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.? 

The EHS Red Cross Club will be sponsoring a blood drive at Miller-Keystone Blood Centers from November 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.  Our goal is to donate 100 units. Students and staff are encouraged to participate! After donating, bring your proof to room 016 and you’ll receive a goodie bag!

Peer Tutoring

If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2025-26 Student Tutoring Request Form.  Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the Library.  Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.

We’re thrilled to share that an Emmaus High School group is heading to Italy & Greece in June 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us! This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. Academic Support for All Students

EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.   If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form LATE BUS SIGN UPS before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!

Bus Information

If a student is riding home on another student’s bus, both students must have a parent note granting permission. The parent note needs to include both students’ names, the bus number, and the date on which they will be riding together. There must also be a parent’s signature on each note. Together, first thing in the morning, both students must go to one of their AP offices for approval.  

All students who ride the bus must promptly report to the bus platform when the bell rings at 2:25 PM. If you miss your bus at the end of the day, buses will not be called back to pick you up. You will be responsible for your own transportation home once buses depart from EHS.

Late Bus

The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.  You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.

Sign up online using the  Late Bus Sign Up in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May.  The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**

Chromebook / IT Help

The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.

** Mondays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:30PM **

You are most welcome to join us for THIS WEEK’s GCC meeting on THURSDAY, February 5 right after school in room 13.

Come contribute your input to this year’s t-shirt and bulletin board designs and learn about Nepal from one of our students who went there last summer.

Bible Study

We meet Wednesday mornings in Room 254 from 6:45-7:10am (you can enter through the counseling doors) and Thursday afternoons in Room 226 from 2:30-3:15pm. 

SAT Prep

The math club will be offering SAT Prep for all EHS students interested in working on their SAT & PSAT test taking skills.  SAT Prep will be offered every Friday during homeroom in the MMR.  If interested, please join the Schoology group QPVB-R6P5-VTM9B and then register to attend on the schoology group page.

Interact Club

The Interact Club will continue to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Tabs can be dropped off outside of 216. 

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity will be selling donuts for $2 and Celsius for $3 before school in the HIVE Thursday mornings. Bring cash.
