Lehigh University’s Summer Engineering Institute (SEI) is a program that offers students exposure to STEM activities such as hands-on collaborative projects, classroom discussions, and field trips to regional science and tech businesses and research centers. Some of the topics explored during the program include 3D printing, robotics, nanoscience, earthquake mitigation, bioengineering, environmental remediation, and computer science.
The in-person program gives students the opportunity to reside for two weeks on Lehigh’s campus working with Lehigh students and faculty. Nominated students should be capable of participating in this two-week program both academically and socially and should be on pace to complete the higher levels of math and science offered at EHS. Additionally, interested students should be willing to enthusiastically engage in labs, classrooms, and field trips, learning alongside the Lehigh staff.

Career Fair
Any 9th through 12th grade student who is interested in visiting Biddle Air National Guard Base for a Career Fair on May 1 should pick up a permission form in the counseling office. Permission forms are due March 14.
Class of 2025 – Graduation Video Content Needed
SENIORS!!!
During our graduation ceremony, a video documenting our senior year will play on the jumbotron. We plan to compile videos, photos, and interviews highlighting memories and experiences of all class of 2025 students. Please upload any photos or videos you would like us to include to this google form by April 15th. The title of your photo or video should be the first and last name of the person submitting the form.
Senior Scholarships
Greetings, Seniors! The 2025 EHS Local Scholarship Program for seniors will be open to apply online starting Monday, March 3rd. The link to the scholarship list will be posted on the EHS Counseling Website, Naviance, Schoology, Email & District Social Media Accounts.
If you are applying to any of the EHS Local Scholarships… this is a reminder to PLEASE make sure you are following the directions listed at the top of the page (there are 6 steps highlighted in yellow.) We receive hundreds of applications, so please know that failure to follow these exact steps will result in an incomplete application.

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) – March 24, 2025 **CANCELLED**
The ASVAB scheduled for March 24th has been cancelled. We are looking to reschedule the exam at a later date; please watch for any updates. Please reach out to your Counselor or Mrs. Lucchesi-Wood if you have any questions.
SAT Testing
All SAT tests are now digital! You MUST have a photo ID and your Chromebook with the most current BlueBook app installed with you on testing day to sit for the SAT. There will be no loaner Chromebooks available on test days. It is imperative that you follow the directions that you have received from the College Board so that you are prepared when you arrive for the SATs. The next testing date for the SATs here at EHS is May 4th.
Summer Technology Employment
The East Penn School District Technology Department is accepting applications for (4) temporary summer technology positions from June 16, 2025 – August 8, 2025. In order for you to be considered for a Summer Technology position, you must be a current student at Emmaus High School or have graduated from Emmaus High School and currently enrolled in higher education. The hourly rate is $12.50/hr. with a maximum of 320 hours. If you are interested, applications are available on the East Penn School District Website. Summer Maintenance Employment
The Facilities Department is accepting applications for summer maintenance employment from 6/23/25-8/15/25 (8 WEEKS). If you are a student and interested in being one of our 15 summer maintenance employees, applications are available on the East Penn School District Website. You may also pick up an application in the main office and/or guidance office of Emmaus High School. Applicants must be an East Penn resident 16 years of age or older and continuing their education in high school or college. The hourly rate is $12.50/hr. with a maximum of 320 hours. Blood Donation
Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.? EHS Red Cross Club is promoting Miller-Keystone Blood Donation Centers. STEM Trip
Are you interested in a STEM trip to London and Paris? The trip will include various science-based tourist locations such as the Royal Observatory at Greenwich, London Science Museum, London Eye, Eiffel Tower, and a day at Disneyland Paris. The trip is scheduled for June 22-July 2 2026. Please contact Mr. Ohl in room 141 with any questions or stop by for an informational flyer about the trip.
Spring Musical
Tickets for EHS’s Spring Musical, Mamma Mia, are now available on the EHS website. Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens, and $14 for adults. The show runs April 2-5 at 7PM and April 5 and 6 at 2PM in the EHS auditorium. Get your tickets before we sell out!

Peer Tutoring
If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2024-25 Student Tutoring Request Form. Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Library. Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.
After School Homework Help
EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 2024). Teachers will be available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Taking advantage of this resource can make a significant difference in academic performance and overall confidence at school.
Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. They are happy and excited to help students succeed in their classes for the remainder of the school year. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.
Late Bus
Sign up online using the Late Bus Google Form in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May.
Chromebook / IT Help
The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:25 pm outside the library entrance.
** Thursdays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:25PM **
Clubs
- Pediatric Cancer Club -Please join us for an informational meeting on Thursday, March 13, at 2:35 in the HIVE (portion closest to the auditorium) for the rebirth of the Pediatric Cancer Club. We will talk about the future and direction of the club and lay the groundwork for a potential partnership with Shave for the Brave for their 2026 event (more details to follow).
