Spring Musical – Cinderella

The Emmaus High School Theater Department presents

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Broadway Version)

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. The story concerns a young woman who dreams of a better life but is forced into servitude by her cruel stepmother. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella is transformed into an elegant young lady and is able to attend the ball to meet her Prince. In this version, she must open Prince Topher’s eyes to the injustice in his kingdom. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside an up-to-date libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane. Join our engaging cast of characters on their journey as they learn that the promise of possibility does exist, and that dreams really can come true.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella will be performed from March 20 through 23 at 7:00 PM, and March 23 and 24 at 2:00 PM in the Emmaus High School Auditorium.  We invite you to attend our show to enjoy an affordable evening of theater, and to see that your support is going to a group of very dedicated young artists.  Ticket prices are $12.00 for students/seniors and $14.00 for adults.  Purchase online at www.eastpennsd.org/ehs beginning February 1.

A complimentary performance for senior Gold Card members will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:00 PM. Gold card members must present East Penn School District gold cards at the door on the evening of the performance.  Your Gold Card will serve as your ticket. Gold cards will not be accepted at other performances.

Please call Emmaus High School at (610) 965-1650 with any questions, or visit our website at www.eastpennsd.org/ehs for more information.  Thank you for your support of our theater program.
