Shave for the Brave

Be a hero for kids with cancer! Celebrate life at the 9th biennial St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event at Emmaus High School! The Emmaus Shave for the Brave will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026 in the EHS Gym at 5PM. The concept is simple; people donate money to “shavees” willing to shave their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. Calling all students interested in joining the 2026 Emmaus Shave for the Brave planning committee! Sign up by Mon. Animal Food Drive

The Interact Club is hosting an animal food drive for the Animal Food Bank of Lehigh Valley, which will be donated to families in need. The food drive will be accepting collections from October 1 to November 1 in the box outside of Room 216, Mrs. Kaunitz’s room. We are collecting primarily dry and wet cat and dog food, but pet food for smaller pets is also accepted and greatly appreciated. Winter Sports Info

The link for 2025-2026 Winter Sports Sign-up Form is can be found in your “Class of” Schoology or on the Emmaus Athletics/Activities website.  The due date for students to fill out this form is October 17, 2025.

There is information there for PIAA forms as well as Impact Testing. More information will be forthcoming regarding PIAA physicals, sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Jefferson Hospitals

Military Recruiter Visits

Starting October 1st, 2025, Emmaus High will be hosting military recruiters, allowing for the opportunity to speak with students who are interested in pursuing a path with the Armed Forces. The recruiters will be set up between Cafe 1 and Cafe 2 for the duration of Block 3 on the following recurring weekdays each month:

Army – 1st Thursday of the month

Marine Corps – 1st Wednesday of the month

Air Force – 2nd Tuesday of the month

Navy – 1st Tuesday of the month

Army National Guard – 2nd Wednesday of the month

Coast Guard – 3rd Monday of the month

Peer Tutoring

If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2025-26 Student Tutoring Request Form.  Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the Library.  Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.

Fall Play

Tickets for EHS’s fall play, The Diary of Anne Frank, are now on sale.  Tickets can be purchased on the EHS website.  Prices are $12 for students and senior citizens and $14 for adults.  The show will run November 6,7, & 8 at 7PM in the EHS auditorium.  Come out to support our cast and crew!

Homecoming

The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 11th from 6-9pm. Tickets sales begin September 29th during lunches and after school in room 308 9/30 & 10/7.

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) – October 15, 2025

Any students in grades 10-12 who are interested in pursuing a career in the military or interested in finding out more about potential careers should take the ASVAB. Please complete the October 2025 ASVAB Test Registration if you are interested in signing up for the ASVAB test.  The registration needs to be completed by October 9th. If you have any questions, you can reach out to your Counselor or Mrs. Wood. 

Travel Opportunities

France, Switzerland & Italy

There will be an informational meeting about the summer 2027 trip to France, Switzerland and Italy on Tuesday, October 14th.  Students who are interested in going on the trip should attend the meeting with a parent or guardian. Again, the meeting is on Tuesday, October 14th and will be at 6:30 pm in room 15. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Fraser in room 15 for information! (This meeting is not for those who have already signed up for the trip. We will have a meeting for the travelers in the spring!)

An unforgettable adventure in Italy & Greece!

We’re thrilled to share that an Emmaus High School group is heading to Italy & Greece in June 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us! This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. Academic Support for All Students

EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.   If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form LATE BUS SIGN UPS before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!

Late Bus

The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.  You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.

Sign up online using the  Late Bus Sign Up in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May.  The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**

Chromebook / IT Help

The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.

** Mondays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:30PM **

Home Football Game Reminder

Re-entry to the stadium is not permitted. Once you leave the stadium you may not return without paying another entry fee.

Bible Study

Bible study club will meet Thursday, October 9 after school in room 229. See you there.

Key Club

Key Club will be hosting their first meeting Friday 10/3 at 6:45am until 7:15am. We welcome new members as well as our Alumni. We appreciate everyone. This year we will carry the Core attributes of Key Club; leadership, fellowship and service to the community, our Key Club International Chapter, and our Student/Faculty here with in East Penn School District. Are you thinking of taking on an officer’s role? There are workshops and literature to build confidence, give direction and expand our thinking to outside the box. I hope you all share in the excitement of bringing Key Club to a monumental success this year. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Chess Club

The EHS Chess Club will meet this Wednesday, October 1 in the MMR/Chessatorium at 2:30. All levels of players are welcome.

SAT Prep

The math club will be offering SAT Prep for all EHS students interested in working on their SAT & PSAT test taking skills.  SAT Prep will be offered every Friday during homeroom in the MMR.  If interested, please join the Schoology group QPVB-R6P5-VTM9B and then register to attend on the schoology group page.

Interact Club

The Interact Club will continue to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Tabs can be dropped off outside of 216. 

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity will meet after school at 2:30 Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in room 229. 

Habitat for Humanity will be selling donuts for $2 and Celsius for $3 before school in the HIVE Thursday mornings. Bring cash. 

Instant Decision Day

This year, ten colleges/universities are going to be hosting Instant Decision Days at Emmaus High School. This opportunity is for Seniors only! Listed down below are the dates that each college will be on campus, please know that you MUST sign up on the Google form linked below AND apply to the specific college. The Google form will be closed one week before the university visits, so please be mindful about signing up before the deadline.
