Do you have gently used shoes gathering dust in your closet? Here’s a simple, impactful way to declutter and support a local child’s dream!
National Honor Society is hosting a Shoe Drive to help 5-year-old, Renna, a local special needs child, raise funds for her much-needed service dog. Every pair of shoes you donate helps her reach her goal.
- Find out more: Learn about Renna’s inspiring story and the impact of the service dog on WFMZ or follow her story on Instagram @rennascorner
- Condition: Any type of shoes can be in new or good condition.
- Preparation: Please secure pairs with a rubber band or by tying the laces together.
- Drop-off Location: Outside Mrs. Kaunitz’s Room (216).
- Deadline: December 17th.
Thank you for helping us help Renna take this life-changing step!

Academic Support for All Students
EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30. If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form LATE BUS SIGN UPS before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!
Bus Information
If a student is riding home on another student’s bus, both students must have a parent note granting permission. The parent note needs to include both students’ names, the bus number, and the date on which they will be riding together. There must also be a parent’s signature on each note. Together, first thing in the morning, both students must go to one of their AP offices for approval.
All students who ride the bus must promptly report to the bus platform when the bell rings at 2:25 PM. If you miss your bus at the end of the day, buses will not be called back to pick you up. You will be responsible for your own transportation home once buses depart from EHS.
Late Bus
The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4. You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.
Sign up online using the Late Bus Sign Up in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May. The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**
