Late Bus

The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.  You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.

**Students will now use a Google form to sign up for the late bus which will be posted here on the website and also in Schoology.  The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**   Late Bus Sign Up

Chromebook / IT Help

The IT department  will hold  Chromebook support for students  during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.

** Thursdays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY  AT 2-2:25PM **

Parking

There have been issues with faculty/student parking, please make sure to park in your assigned numbered spot. If there is another car parked in your spot, please take a picture of the license plate.   Send the picture to Gina Jones at gjones@eastpennsd.org then park your car in the parallel spots next to the sidewalk in Lot J by the Auditorium.

Kids Night Out

FBLA will be sponsoring a Kids Night Out event on Friday February 9th from 5-8 pm in the EHS cafeteria. Parents can register their K-5 students for a night of games, activities, arts and crafts, and food (pizza, snacks and drinks provided). Cost is $25 per child. Unified Track and Field

Unified Track and Field joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. Our athletes train together and compete together which helps them to develop friendships and an understanding of one another.

Students select one track event and one field event in which to train and compete and also can participate in one relay team

Track Events include: 100 meters, 400 meters, and 800 meters; 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays

Field Events include: Shot put, running long jump, mini javelin

Season Length: The season begins with the team having its first practices during the beginning of March (the start of the PIAA spring sports season). Practices and competitions run through May, depending on the date of the culminating regional championship event.

London, France and Italian Riviera Trip

The deadline to sign up for the trip to London, France and the Italian Riviera THIS summer is January 31st.  Please see Mr. Montepeque if you have any questions!

Future Educators Program – LCTI

There will be an information session for any current 11th grade students interested in learning more about the 2024/25 Future Educators program offered through LCTI on February 7th at 12:00. If you are interested in attending, please sign up in the counseling office.

Future Educators is a program of study for students interested in building professional pathways for future careers as pre-K-12 teachers, school counselors, paraprofessionals, school administrators…Students are dually enrolled at both LCTI and LCCC, where they take on-site classes such as EDU 114- Careers in Education, EDU 101- Foundations of Education, and EDU 105- Introduction to Special Education. In the classroom setting at LCTI, students work on building a foundation of understanding of different roles in education, the history of American education, stages of human development, understanding diverse learners, planning and instructional methods, as well as tools for classroom management and technology for instruction. In addition, students gain hands-on experience by spending time in PreK-12 classrooms within the Lehigh Valley school districts, and initiate planning for the future by visiting and learning about local colleges and universities, and spending time with LCTI alumni.

FAFSA – Help Completing form

The EHS Counseling Office is proud to offer families of 12th grade students the opportunity to complete their FAFSA with the support of Michael Burke from PHEAA and a representative from LCCC’s Financial Aid Office.  The event will take place in the EHS Library on 2/7/24 at 6:00pm.  Anyone who is interested in participating will need to complete this Google Form as space is limited.  Families will need to bring copies of their 2022 1040/1040EZ/1040A etc. as well as their W2 forms, social security numbers.  Students have the option to bring their EPSD device or devices will be provided for families (personal devices are discouraged). The FSA ID should be completed BEFORE attending the FAFSA Completion Night (start here).  Should you have any questions, please contact your student’s counselor

Emmaus Rotary Club’s  Speech Contest

Create hope in the world – participate in Emmaus Rotary Club’s 4 Way Test Speech Contest! The contest will be held on March 16, 10 AM, at Willow Lane Elementary School and is open to ALL students. ALL participants receive a monetary prize!

Write and deliver a brief speech focusing on Rotary’s Four Way Test of the things we think, say, or do (Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned?

School Store

The School Store will be open during Hornet Homeroom everyday (10:18 – 10:55).  Students that come, need to have a signed pass from the homeroom teacher.

  • No Place for Hate will meet after school in room 309 from 2:30-3:00.

  • The Interact Club will continue to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.   Please drop off at Mrs. Kaunitz’s room, 216.
