Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign which started in 1985 (if any of you have seen the “Narcos: Mexico” series on Netflix it provides an account of the events which lead to a DEA agent being abducted and tortured by the drug cartels. The same DEA agent who sparked the Red Ribbon initiative across the United States) and has since touched the lives of millions of people around the world. The Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. EHS Kid to Kid club is choosing to encourage this initiative through theme days for students, staff, and faculty October 28- Nov 1.

MONDAY: Get RED of drugs (Red Day)

TUESDAY: Drugs be Crazy (Crazy Sock Day)

WEDNESDAY: Lei off drugs (Hawaiian Lei Day)

THURSDAY: Drugs are Scary (Halloween attire)

FRIDAY: Get Real, Educate Yourself (G-R-E-Y out)
