Electronic Device Policy

  • Cell phones, earbuds, smart watches, etc. must be turned off, out of sight in desk pouches, or in cell phone caddies provided in classrooms and the Learning Lab.  Students can bring their own pouches if they prefer.  Ideally, phones should be in Airplane mode to not distract others.
  • Cell phones, earbuds, smart watches, etc. may not be taken to the bathrooms. Pouches with the electronic devices inside should be placed on the teacher’s desk while the student is out of the room.
  • Cell phones, earbuds, smart watches, etc. may be used during lunch, homeroom (except for during Hornet Huddle lessons) and study halls.
  • During lunch, homeroom (except Thursdays during Hornet Huddle) and study halls, music can only be played through earbuds or headphones.
  • Students are welcome to use their phones, earbuds and smart watches until the bell rings for the start of class.  Once the class begins, all students are to place  their phones on their  desk pouches, or in cell phone caddies provided in classrooms.  The pouch must be sealed and remain on the student’s desk and cell phones may not be accessed for the remainder of the class.
  • Students may not take cell phones to the bathrooms regardless of the class they are leaving.

Chromebook / IT Help

The IT department  will hold  Chromebook support for students  during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in the military should take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), as well as any other students interested in finding out more about potential careers for them. The test will be administered on October 19, 2023, at 7:30 a.m. in Caf 1.  Please use the ASVAB Registration Form if you are interested in signing up for the ASVAB test.  The registration needs to be completed by October 13th.  If you have any questions, you can reach out to your Counselor or Mrs. Wood.  For detailed information on the ASVAB visit: https://www.officialasvab.com/.

PSAT’s – 10th Grade

Emmaus High School is thrilled to announce a wonderful opportunity for all of our 10th-grade students. Through a generous donation from our EPSD Education Foundation, all 10th-grade students will have the opportunity to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, completely free of charge. This practice SAT exam will be administered during the school day at EHS. Please check your Class of 2026 Schoology Group for more information.

PSATs – 11th Grade

Emmaus High School is thrilled to announce a wonderful opportunity for all of our 11th-grade students! Students will have the opportunity to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, during the school day at EHS for only $18. Please check your Class of 2025 Schoology Group for more information, including the PSAT Registration Form, which is due by September 7th.

Picture Day

  • EHS Picture Day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in the Auditorium.  Students should report to the auditorium at their scheduled time.  If you are interested in purchasing pictures, please make sure to complete Christmas City’s online order form.  Schedules listing reporting times will be posted in classrooms and on bulletin boards

If you do not wish to purchase pictures, students can still get their picture taken in order to get a new student ID card. 

* Seniors, if you need an ID card,  get your picture taken, no need to purchase anything *

  • Season Tickets and Individual Game Tickets are being sold electronically this year. Adults are $20 for season and $5 for game, Students/Senior Citizens are $12 season/ $3 game. They can be purchased at the link on our Athletics/Activities webpage at GoFan.co or using the QR code on the signs posted around the building. Stop by the Athletic Dept with any questions. GO HORNETS!

Clubs

  • Welcome back! Kid to Kid is having our first meeting before school on Thursday (9/7) at 6:55 am in room 012 , Mrs Ross (Martini) room. Come meet your officers and learn about what we are planning to do this year! See you then : )
  • Our first club meeting of the 23-24 school year will be on Thursday, September 7th from 2:35 to 3:10 in Room 118. We will be accepting new members and welcome back students from last year as well. This first meeting we will begin identifying our goals for the upcoming year and finding class officers to lead us to appreciate as much as possible, especially within Emmaus High School. 

Expressing gratitude has a multitude of benefits including reducing stress, supporting good mental and physical health, getting better sleep, and improving relationships with others

  • Habitat for Humanity will have its first meeting Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 2:30 in room 229. Everyone is welcome!
