Gingerbread House Showdown

Get Ready for the Ultimate Gingerbread House Showdown! 

Hey Hornets! Habitat for Humanity is bringing some sweet competition your way — it’s time for the Gingerbread House Contest

When: December 10th (during Homeroom)
Where: The Cafeteria

Teams: Up to 6 people

Show off your building and decorating skills as you compete for three awesome titles:


 Most Creative
 Most Festive
 Best Overall

(Each team can only win one category — but hey, one win is all it takes for glory and prizes!)

 Winning teams will be notified, and prizes can be picked up from Miss Russo in Room 229.

 Supplies will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own extra candy for that personal touch! (Just remember — everything must be school-appropriate!) No hot glue guns.

Entry Fee: $30 per team

  • Pay by cash or check (made out to Emmaus High School)
  • Include “Habitat for Humanity / your school ID number and name” in the memo line
  • Payments go to Miss Russo, Room 229
  • Payment due by December 8th

How to Enter:
Only one team member needs to fill out the sign-up form!

  • Forms are due by December 5th
  • Once your form is approved, you’ll get a confirmation email — this is your homeroom pass for December 10th!

So, grab your best builders, unleash your inner pastry architect, and make something ginger-tastic — all for a great cause!

Class of 2029

Class of 2029 is looking for officer positions including president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and historian. You can find more information and the paperwork that must be completed by Friday, November 14th, in your class of 2029 Schoology page.

Legacy Exhibit in EHS Library

Come to the EHS library Monday Nov. 10 through Friday Nov. 14 to experience the Legacy Exhibit, provided by the Holocaust Resource center of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.  This exhibit was provided as an extension of the Theater Department’s production of The Diary of Anne Frank.

Red Cross

Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.? 

The EHS Red Cross Club will be sponsoring a blood drive at Miller-Keystone Blood Centers from November 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.  Our goal is to donate 100 units. Students and staff are encouraged to participate! After donating, bring your proof to room 016 and you’ll receive a goodie bag! 

Schedule your appointment by calling 800-223-6667 and mentioning Group ID 3345, or visit GIVEaPINT.org and include Group ID 3345 in the notes section of the form, or scan the QR code found in fliers around school.

Senior Yearbook and Graduation Photos

The deadline is approaching to have your senior yearbook and graduation day jumbotron photo taken. In order to appear in this year’s yearbook, all photos must be taken before December 4.  

Wesley Works Photography will be at the school to take photos on Monday, November 10th, from 1:00-4:00 in the MMR Room and on Tuesday, November 18th, from 10:00-1:00 in the black box theater, located behind the auditorium stage.

Photos can also be taken ANYTIME between now and December 4 at Wesley Works Photography. 

Please schedule online at wesleyworks.com/seniors  (This includes in-school sessions. Schedule Package “E” for sessions at the school.)

There is no charge to have your yearbook/jumbotron photo taken.  

Rotary Youth Exchange

Ever thought of LIVING and GOING TO SCHOOL in another country OR during summer being matched with a “new friend” from another country and spending 3 weeks in his/her home and then having that person come and spend 3 weeks with you?

If so, Investigate Rotary Youth Exchange. Open up your mind, LIVE a new language, HAVE a new home, CONNECT with peers from around the globe!

Peer Tutoring

If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2025-26 Student Tutoring Request Form.  Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the Library.  Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.

Travel Opportunities

Thailand Meeting

Our next meeting for the June 2026 trip to Thailand will be on Thursday, November 13th from 2:30-3:30 in room 219! Interested in traveling to Thailand? We still have open spots! Stop by 219 to learn more.

An unforgettable adventure in Italy & Greece!

We’re thrilled to share that an Emmaus High School group is heading to Italy & Greece in June 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us! This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. Academic Support for All Students

EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.   If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form LATE BUS SIGN UPS before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!

Late Bus

The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.  You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.

Sign up online using the  Late Bus Sign Up in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May.  The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**

Chromebook / IT Help

The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.

** Mondays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:30PM **

National Art Honor Society

National Art Honor Society will meet on November 20th from 2:35-3:30 in room 217. If you are unable to attend, check in with Pfenn through email or by stopping into her room during homeroom.

Rotary Club

Emmaus Rotary Club 4 Way Test Speech Contest

December 2, 2025, starting at 2:30 PM

Participants write and deliver a speech that is 4-6 minutes long. The speech is related to a topic that the student is passionate about. It must include all of the following Rotary 4 Way Test components:  Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

All participants receive a monetary prize!

Global Citizens

Please join us for our November Global Citizens Meetings!

  • Tuesday, November 18th (Global potluck Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving)

All meetings right after school in room 13. Make a new friend, learn something new, contribute to more peaceful and connected world.

Bible Study

We meet Wednesday mornings in Room 254 from 6:45-7:10am (you can enter through the counseling doors) and Thursday afternoons in Room 229 from 2:30-3:15pm. 

SAT Prep

The math club will be offering SAT Prep for all EHS students interested in working on their SAT & PSAT test taking skills.  SAT Prep will be offered every Friday during homeroom in the MMR.  If interested, please join the Schoology group QPVB-R6P5-VTM9B and then register to attend on the schoology group page.

Interact Club

The Interact Club will continue to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Tabs can be dropped off outside of 216. 

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity will be selling donuts for $2 and Celsius for $3 before school in the HIVE Thursday mornings. Bring cash. 

Instant Decision Day

This year, ten colleges/universities are going to be hosting Instant Decision Days at Emmaus High School. This opportunity is for Seniors only! Listed down below are the dates that each college will be on campus, please know that you MUST sign up on the Google form linked below AND apply to the specific college. The Google form will be closed one week before the university visits, so please be mindful about signing up before the deadline.
