HOCO 2026
The Homecoming dance “A Night on the Bayou” will be held from 6-9 on Saturday, October 10th. Tickets will be sold for $12 during lunches from 9/22-10/8. Please see your “Class of ” Schoology page for more details.
The Homecoming Tailgate will be after school on Friday, October 9th. If your club is interested in hosting a table, please have your advisor fill out the form they received via email, or contact Mrs. Frantzen in 308 for more details.

SGA
SGA (Student Government Association) is now accepting applications from interested freshmen and sophomores. Information has been posted on your “Class of” Schoology page for those who would like to learn more. Applications are due by October 6th to Mrs. Frantzen or Mrs. Simpkins.
Principal Advisory Meeting
Good morning, Hornets! Welcome again to a new school year! For those students new to EHS, we would like to invite you and everyone else to participate in our monthly Principal Advisory Meetings. All are welcome, and the first 40 students to sign up will receive an email pass to attend. As we explained in our class meetings, we use these meetings to discuss ideas and suggestions to improve our school for everyone.
The first principal advisory meeting will be held on Friday, 9/25, from 10:30 am to 11:30 AM in the MMR. This is a B Day, and you will miss part of block 3 class and homeroom, so please check your schedule and speak with your teachers.

LCTI Meeting
Do You Want to Learn More About LCTI? Sign up to attend the LCTI Info Session on Wednesday, 9/16 during Homeroom. The google sign-up sheet is in your Schoology course. Stop by Counseling for more info. Deadline to sign up is 9/14.
Academic Team Tryouts
Academic Team Try-outs Update: The date for try-outs for the Academic Team has changed! They will now be held on Tuesday, September 15th in room 141. See Mr. Ohl or Herr Bisignani with any questions.
PSAT/NMSQT
PSATs will be offered on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 8: 00am.The exam will take approximately 2-½ hours. If you require accommodations for the PSAT, you will need to reach out to your Counselor immediately so that it can be submitted to the College Board for consideration. Any accommodations that you may have here at EHS do not automatically apply to PSAT/SAT/AP exams through the College Board; you must submit a request.
If you would like to sign up for the PSAT, please complete the 2026-27 PSAT Registration Form, which can also be found in your “Class of” Schoology Group, by October 2nd; this form must be completed by the student using their EPSD account. The cost of the PSAT is $30.00. Payments in the form of cash or check made payable to EHS, should be dropped off to Mrs. Lucchesi-Wood in Room 272.
The PSAT registration deadline is Friday, October 2nd.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) – October 20, 2026
Any students in grades 10-12 who are interested in finding out more about potential careers, in pursuing a career in the military, or meeting your ACT 158 graduation requirement, should consider taking the ASVAB.
Please complete the October 2026 ASVAB Test Registration Form if you are interested in signing up for the ASVAB test. The registration needs to be completed by October 13th.

Locker Request Form
This form serves as your formal request to secure a locker for the 2026-2027 school year. Please Note: Students are not automatically assigned a locker each year. If a student wishes to have a locker, they must complete the locker request form each school year. The Student Service Principal’s Offices will process the request and assign the locker. Locker assignments are typically given in the order the requests are received.
Military Recruiter Visits
Starting October 1st, 2026, Emmaus High will be hosting military recruiters, allowing for the opportunity to speak with students who are interested in pursuing a path with the Armed Forces. The recruiters will be set up between Cafe 1 and Cafe 2 for the duration of Block 3 on the following recurring weekdays each month:
Army – 1st Thursday of the month
Marine Corps – 1st Wednesday of the month
Air Force – 2nd Tuesday of the month
Navy – 1st Tuesday of the month
Army National Guard – 2nd Wednesday of the month
Coast Guard – 3rd Monday of the month

Late Bus
The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4. You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.
Sign up online using the Late Bus Sign Up in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May. The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 11:30am deadline**

Home Football Game Reminder
Re-entry to the stadium is not permitted. Once you leave the stadium you may not return without paying another entry fee.

Debate Team
The debate team will hold its official meeting on Monday Sept 14 after school in room 220. If you missed last week’s meeting this is the last chance to sign up in order to compete in this year’s season. Contact Mrs. Espenshade for questions.
No Place for Hate
No Place for Hate will meet after school on Monday 9/14, in room 309 until 3:00. All are welcome to attend!
