Senior Group Photo
On Friday, October 2nd, the senior group photo will take place at Memorial Field during HHR. At around 10:10am, there will be an announcement for seniors to be dismissed to Memorial Field for the picture. The rain date is Tuesday, October 6th at the same time.

HOCO 2026
The Homecoming dance “A Night on the Bayou” will be held from 6-9 on Saturday, October 10th. Tickets will be sold for $12 during lunches from 9/22-10/8. Please see your “Class of ” Schoology page for more details.
The Homecoming Tailgate will be after school on Friday, October 9th. Peer Tutoring
If you are interested in meeting with a tutor for some extra help, please complete the 2026-27 Student Tutoring Request Form. Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Monday, every other Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Library. Tutoring is not available on Hornet Huddle days. Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.
After-School Help Open to ALL Students
EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.
If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!
Homeroom Help
Students are encouraged to work with their teachers during homeroom each day. Homeroom is designed to provide time for students to get help, make up missing assignments or assessments, and spend time on homework. Students should speak with their teachers to get passes when needed to go to teachers’ rooms for assistance.
NHS Peer Tutoring
We have fantastic NHS students available for individual or small group tutoring sessions. Students who are interested in this NHS peer tutoring should email Ms. Lisa Wood to sign up.
SGA
SGA (Student Government Association) is now accepting applications from interested freshmen and sophomores. Information has been posted on your “Class of” Schoology page for those who would like to learn more. Applications are due by October 6th to Mrs. Frantzen or Mrs. Simpkins.

PSAT/NMSQT
DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd
PSATs will be offered on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 8: 00am.The exam will take approximately 2-½ hours. If you require accommodations for the PSAT, you will need to reach out to your Counselor immediately so that it can be submitted to the College Board for consideration. Any accommodations that you may have here at EHS do not automatically apply to PSAT/SAT/AP exams through the College Board; you must submit a request.
If you would like to sign up for the PSAT, please complete the 2026-27 PSAT Registration Form, which can also be found in your “Class of” Schoology Group, by October 2nd; this form must be completed by the student using their EPSD account. The cost of the PSAT is $30.00. Payments in the form of cash or check made payable to EHS, should be dropped off to Mrs. Lucchesi-Wood in Room 272.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) – October 20, 2026
Any students in grades 10-12 who are interested in finding out more about potential careers, in pursuing a career in the military, or meeting your ACT 158 graduation requirement, should consider taking the ASVAB.
Please complete the October 2026 ASVAB Test Registration Form if you are interested in signing up for the ASVAB test. The registration needs to be completed by October 13th.

Japan Trip
Ever want to go to Japan? Join us for a trip to the unforgettable Land of the Rising Sun… JAPAN. The trip Includes Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Mount Fuji, a day at Tokyo DisneySea, and more. We are traveling in June 2028. Feel free to contact Brent Ohl in room 141 or bohl@eastpennsd.org to sign up or for any questions. Flyers can also be found outside room 141. Informational meeting date to be determined.
Locker Request Form
This form serves as your formal request to secure a locker for the 2026-2027 school year. Please Note: Students are not automatically assigned a locker each year. If a student wishes to have a locker, they must complete the locker request form each school year. The Student Service Principal’s Offices will process the request and assign the locker. Locker assignments are typically given in the order the requests are received.
Military Recruiter Visits
Starting October 1st, 2026, Emmaus High will be hosting military recruiters, allowing for the opportunity to speak with students who are interested in pursuing a path with the Armed Forces. The recruiters will be set up between Cafe 1 and Cafe 2 for the duration of Block 3 on the following recurring weekdays each month:
Army – 1st Thursday of the month
Marine Corps – 1st Wednesday of the month
Air Force – 2nd Tuesday of the month
Navy – 1st Tuesday of the month
Army National Guard – 2nd Wednesday of the month
Coast Guard – 3rd Monday of the month

Late Bus
The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4. You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.
Sign up online using the Late Bus Sign Up in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May. The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 11:30am deadline**

Home Football Game Reminder
Re-entry to the stadium is not permitted. Once you leave the stadium you may not return without paying another entry fee.
