EHS Winter Holiday Dress-Up Weeks

Join the holiday fun and show off your festive spirit with these themed dress-up days!

12/11-Class Color Cheer: Candy Cane Day

            Freshmen: Wear Red

            Sophomores: Wear Green

            Juniors: Wear White

            Seniors: Combine all three colors for a candy cane inspired look.

12/12-Cozy Comfy Day: Winter Accessories-scarves, mittens, hats or earmuffs in holiday colors.

12/13-Festive Friday: Holiday Hats & Socks

12/16-Merry Monday: Winter or Holiday themed pajama day

12/17-Tinsel Tuesday: Sparkle & Shine-Deck yourself out with your shiniest outfits, tinsel, glitter and sequins.

12/18-Winter Wonderland Wednesday: White out (or blue or silver)

12/19-Festive Thursday: Ugly Holiday Sweater Day

12/20-Flannel Friday: Plaid it out-Get comfy cozy in your favorite plaid flannel.

Gingerbread Contest

Habitat for Humanity is hosting a Gingerbread Contest on Dec 19, 2024 during hornet homeroom. Teams of up to 6 people can enter. Cost is $30/team. Entries are due by December 12 and money is due by December 13 to Miss Russo in 229. Prizes will be given to the Most Festive, Most Creative and Best Overall. EHS Red Cross Club

Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.? EHS Red Cross Club is promoting Miller-Keystone Blood Donation Centers. If you donate blood and have proof, come to room 16 (Montepeque) for a bag of candy! Additionally, you’ll get a T-shirt from Miller-Keystone at the donation site.  See the fliers posted around the school to scan the QR code for more information.

Operation Giggles

The Interact club is proud to announce the start of Operation Giggles’ winter collection! We are collecting any new or unused toys starting now through December 20th and will be donating them to the Lehigh Valley Riley Children’s Hospital. There will be boxes that you can drop the toys off at by Mrs. Kaunitz’s room 216. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Peyton Kilka (pkilka26@eastpennsd.org). Food Drive

The Interact Club is hosting a food drive for families and students in the East Penn School District and we need your help. Please donate cans of fruit (preferably 14 oz) outside room 216 (Mrs. Kaunitz) by December 12th. Thank you for your help!

Peer Tutoring

If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2024-25 Student Tutoring Request Form.  Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Library.  Please visit your “Class of” Schoology Group for more information.

School Store

The EHS School Store is open during HHR and closed Thursdays. Stop by and get Hornet merch and game themed merchandise. Cash or check only.

After School Homework Help

EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 2024). Teachers will be available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Taking advantage of this resource can make a significant difference in academic performance and overall confidence at school. 

Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. They are happy and excited to help students succeed in their classes for the remainder of the school year.  Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.

Late Bus

Sign up online using the Late Bus Google Form in Schoology under the Materials section or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of May.

Chromebook / IT Help

The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 – 10:55) and from 2 to 2:25 pm outside the library entrance.

** Thursdays only, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:25PM **

Clubs

  • The Biology Olympiad Study Club meetings take place every other Tuesday after school and every Monday during homeroom in Mr. LaBar’s room (112).   • The Bible Study Club meets every Tuesday morning from 6:45am to 7:15am in the MMR. You can enter through
    the MAIN OFFICE DOORS and head to the MMR. We will have Bibles and breakfast snacks available. We

  • Club Med: You’re invited to join Club Med. Meetings will be held the first and third Tuesday of the month in room 140 after school. Join our Schoology group: D4FH-57MD-DQQJS
  • Habitat for Humanity will be selling Celsius drinks ($3) and donuts ($2) Thursday mornings before school in the HIVE.
  • The Interact Club will continue to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Please drop off tabs in the container outside of room 216.
