East Penn Shines the Spotlight on Jasper Learning Initiative Students

The Jasper Learning Initiative offers a learning experience that values collaboration, curiosity, and authenticity. In Jasper, students will be empowered to work in community-inspired, project-based and inquiry-driven opportunities. Strong relationships among students, teachers, and community are their key growth.

In Jasper, students learn through and while doing projects and get to show their understanding through these projects. East Penn would like to spotlight a few of our Jasper students that are making a difference at Emmaus High School.

Anna Paulino-10th Grade

We are so proud to have Anna Paulino in Jasper as she has been an absolute pleasure from the first day. She is outstanding academically and always offers an insightful perspective helping make the program better.

Kylie Heffner- 9th Grade

Kylie is hard-working and excellent at self-advocacy. She puts a lot of care and thought into her project ideas, both to meet the brief but also to put a little of herself in each project.

Jacob Schorr-10th Grade

Jasper was designed for students like Jacob, who are looking for a different way of doing high school. His preferences and strengths are a perfect fit for Jasper. The program also allows him to have a voice and we all benefit/learn from his knowledge and perspective.

Spencer joined Jasper for all the right reasons and takes advantage of the projects to continue to build skills in various forms of media, especially film making. Spencer also helps the program in many ways ranging from Jasper party planning, improving the website and social media content, and just being a fantastic role model for all!
