EHS Stinger Staffers Place at Pennsylvania Competitions

Congratulations to the following Stinger staff members for placing in the 2024 Pennsylvania School Press Association’s Student Journalism Competition held on April 3, 2024. The Pennsylvania School Press Association recognizes and supports student journalism programs in Pennsylvania through regional and statewide competitions, summer critiques, awards and recognition, mentorship for advisers, and other resources. Congratulations to the following students:

  • Gabe Meyers: 1st Place in News Feature Writing
  • Lauren Riazzi: 3rd Place in Yearbook Sports Writing
  • Carina McCallum: 5th Place in Editorial Writing

The Stinger staff continued its award-winning streak by bringing home multiple awards from the recent Pennsylvania Press Club competition. The Pennsylvania Press Club’s annual journalism competition attracted a record number of student participants this year. The contest featured 169 entries submitted by students from 17 different schools, ranging geographically from the Philadelphia region to the Pittsburgh area. Congratulations to the following students:
