EHS Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

A record number of Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The prestigious society welcomed 120 new members during the ceremony at LCCC’s Berrier Hall.

Membership in the honor society is highly competitive. Students must maintain a grade average of 90 percent or better to be considered for induction.

Hundreds of the inductees’ family members and friends were on hand for the event, which featured remarks from career and technical education advocate James Hansel and LCTI Executive Director Lisa Greenawalt. NTHS officers Ardit Pacuku, Amal Basyouni and Yaseen Rhymer explained the honor society’s purpose and other previously inducted members participated in a candle lighting.

In addition to the students, the honor society also welcomed an honorary member: Kenneth Benson Jr. Benson is a field manager for the ASE Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that evaluates and accredits entry-level automotive technology education programs.

LCTI’s newest NTHS members include 25 Academic Center students and represent 35 of the school’s career and technical education programs, as well as 11 Lehigh County high schools. Congratulations to our Emmaus High School inductees:
