This past weekend three groups of Eyer 8th Grade Honors Social Studies students from Mr. Boyle’s class participated in the Region 6 National History Day competition at Muhlenberg College. The competition is a long term research project that is centered around a theme. This year’s theme was Frontiers in History: People, Places and Ideas. The three groups that participated, their topics and categories were:Â
- Sydney Bennet, Ashley Eiss and Ally Kusko (Susan B. Anthony – Exhibit)
- Alana Welch, Giana Welch, Nina Zhang and Abigail Holtz (William Penn – Documentary)
- Rowan Barford, Ariana Koberlein, Brynn Koberlein and Phoebe Trach (Marie Curie – Exhibit)
Rowan, Ariana, Brynn and Phoebe’s project was selected to advance to the state level competition at the University of Scranton in April. Great job to all the girls!
